Office texts me everyday with news and so do teachers.

I would rate this school A 10. My daughter has struggled and excelled in certain areas. The teachers are compassionate, caring and engaging. They really take the time to help your child overcome struggles and praise them for what they are good at. There is a lot of love at this school!

One thing I am very happy about at this school is how much they appreciate parent involvement. While the district does make it harder and harder to be allowed on campus (livescan background checks and mandated-reporter testing are required for most volunteers), the office staff and the PTC all genuinely appreciate parent opinions and involvement, and find opportunities to volunteer for anyone who indicates a desire. PTC also works hard to raise and spend a lot of money on our kids, paying for field trips, school supplies, and activities for all students.

My child attended Standiford K-5th and we had nothing but positive experiences with the staff and instruction. Our younger child now attends and has just finished TK. Both of our kids have always been well-supported, any issues we've had have been addressed in a timely manner. The school communicates well and offers many opportunities for families to participate (back to school night, carnival, trunk-or-treat, etc).

Unfortunately, we experienced ongoing behavioral issues that significantly impacted my son’s education. His class had to be evacuated multiple times during the school year due to disruptions — after the seventh time, I honestly lost count. It felt like there was little to no control in the classroom, and the learning environment was constantly interrupted.I was also disappointed with the level of professionalism from Ms. DeVissar. On several occasions, we crossed paths in both the office and parking lot, and she would not acknowledge my presence. Being repeatedly ignored as a parent felt dismissive and unwelcoming. It made me question how communication and relationships with families are handled overall.The condition of the restrooms was another major concern. My son often avoided using them because they were so unclean. He reported food thrown into toilets, feces in urinals, no soap available at times, and restroom doors without functioning locks. That raises serious concerns about both hygiene and student privacy. No child should feel uncomfortable using the bathroom at school.I do want to mention something positive — the office staff members are very friendly, especially Stephanie, who was always kind and welcoming.Ultimately, due to these repeated concerns, I made the decision to homeschool my son, and it has been a great experience for our family.
