Bullying and racism is a big problem, if you are not hispanic you get bullied and staff do absolutely nothing to stop it. education is also terrible with most students performing way below average to the point that the standards for grading have gone

Ever since the new administrator arrived, the school has been on a steady rise, and the difference is felt every single day. Test scores are up, students are excited to come to school, and parents feel more connected than ever through workshops, meetings, and School Site Council.Charles White is both a traditional school and a magnet center, and the partnership with LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) is something you will not find anywhere else. The school even has its own art gallery on campus where student work is proudly displayed. It is amazing to see how much creativity is celebrated here.Beyond academics, the school offers so much for our kids: Saturday reading clubs, after school tutoring, intervention support, educational field trips, fun clubs, and hands-on learning that feels like a true experience and not just worksheets.The staff is welcoming and BEYOND helpful. No matter what you need, someone will take the time to support you and your child. It really feels like a community that cares.As a parent, I also appreciate the extremely safe, fully closed campus. You must be buzzed in twice before entering, which gives me complete peace of mind every day.Charles White Elementary is truly a hidden gem.
