Posted by a parent on 10/7/2016Lawrence has a bad reputation because it used to be a terrible school. But the current principal is the best I have ever seen. He really cares about the students, so the staff cares to, and they are trying really hard to constantly improve the school, and it shows.
Posted by a parent on 10/30/2015They really care about your kids here. My daughters Teacher is great. The Principal is very active with the kids and knows most (if not all!) by name. Just wish more parents would get involved.

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son goes here and his teacher is horrible. She DISCOURAGED him from reading because he was taking too many quizzes on the books. Also, she stopped paying any attention to him once she realized he wasn’t a problem. For example, if the kid who usually misbehaves doesn’t that day, they will get rewarded. Received a call one day that they were transferring my child across the city soon to another school even though I live around the block from the school. Basically there is no space left for my child that has special needs and if I don’t accept this I will just get passed around to another school that would take him. This seems very unethical to treat kids with disabilities. Just be aware of the fake nice principle and good luck.
