I have been going to Hickman since kindergarten, and I have had nothing but the best experiences here. Unlike most schools everyone knows everyone at Hickman. All the kids in the middle school especially my 8th grade class are friends and very close.
Posted by a student on 4/5/2019My son has been at Hickman School since kindergarten and he is now in 6th grade. I have had nothing but great experiences with him at this school. Teachers are amazing, parent involvement is incredible! This school has become a second family.
Posted by a parent on 8/15/2012Amazing place. I think this year the school will return to greatness - even better than it already is. Great new admin should compliment amazing students and staff. You have no idea what a paradise Hickman Middle is until you have your kids there.

I bring my children from Modesto, and it is worth every drop of gas to get them there. The teachers and staff make the difference - the admin

The teachers are A1 and the campus is beautiful - an awesome nurturing and learning enviroment! It is a bitter sweet day today as our 8th grader is moving on; but our 5th grader has now become a 6th grader. We love Hickman Char

I feel qualified to say this having lived in this county for 36 years, and having taught as a public school teacher in two other districts in the county. It is creative! It is social! It has the best elementary choir not just in the county but in the region! If you want to do right by your kids send them here. Also, for the naysayers--check out the test scores! 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe staff is incompetent, they do not interact with each other in a way that information is clear. Students are being jumped from one program to another with inconsistent education. The health teacher informed the students that they could purchase flavored lubricants to use during sex. There is minimal oversight over the education assistance they assigned to the families.
