Posted by a parent on 11/14/2018This is horrible: the staff are rude, the classroom has 38 kids in a class room. Some teacher talk on a microphone so the children in the back can hear them, there are too many children for the teacher to teach.My son be there for 5 years and hardly gets any home work.

Director Veronica Tapia quickly disregards and minimizes your concerns; she is aggressive and carries a fake smile if everything is going her way. Front door unattended and not safe, Kids could come and go, they will let anyone in! Hygiene issues. Some teachers are great some are not, not even close, I truly don't know if they are all licensed and if so, some should have their licensed reviewed. I saw my kid with his knees on the floor holding on to the fence, begging and crying! Teacher Brittany did nothing! and worst part is that I had already politely asked her to assist him as I was leaving. I had to observe this horrified from the parking lot, and She knew I was watching! imagine when parents are not around. Definitely this so-called "teacher" is in only for a paycheck. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageYou'd think a faith based school would actually produce a majority student body that is a reflection of God's love. Unfortunately, everything's about money these days no matter where you go or send your child to school. You just have to decide which battles you can deal with. Those from a public school or those from a faith based school that plays favorites to people's children who are not exactly a reflection of God's love. I tell myself it could be worse... they could be the negative stereotype Catholic School kids (which they're not at St. Raymond). But, if you're commuting into Downey from a town with other schooling options, private or charter, look into those first.Parent Review6y ago
