The shool has some amazing teachers who create a fantastic learning environment and provide great support for the kids! However, the new principal is proving to be a challenge, showing favoritism, prejudice, unprofessionalism, and incompetence in dealing with students.

Posted by a parent on 10/2/201910, definitely. I can't say that we've had any issues outside of the normal kids misunderstandings and tiff's, and those have been handled really well. I'm really glad we made the switch, (coming from a different school within the same district) our daughter has thrived upon coming to Barranca.

I have two boys, one that went from PreK-8th at CLS and is now in HS earning straight As and my youngest son who started in PreK and is now in 5th grade and thriving. The years at CLS have been wonderful. My husband and I have volunteered at the school and have become friends with the teachers and staff. We enjoy the fact that class sizes are small and the educational program is top notch. CLS provides STEM, art and music programs and a wonderful library which are sadly being cut at public schools. Even though we are not Lutherans the faith based curriculum focuses on raising children with Christian values.
