Oakmont Elementary School

I'm a student currently, the school is pretty cool and helps with mental health if needed. Teachers are kind and seem like they genuinely enjoy teaching.The food for lunch is pretty good, the soup could use some work but its still good, there are various events like field day, grandparents day, and spirit week.They also help with learning disabilities like dyslexia,not too much to complain about besides the soup...Anyway, the school is pretty cool ! (Sorry if my grammar is wrong)

This is a horrible school. They do not use classroom time efficiently, and the majority of teaching gets done at home via homework. There is a highly toxic culture among the parents that flows down to the children. The classrooms are full of children with untreated neurodivergence and spoiled kids who behave horribly with no consequences from the teachers, administration, or parents. Your child will learn in class how to be a Class A goof-off.Bullying is a problem as well and the Principal is uninterested in addressing the issue. Quid pro quo is happening in her office, so the toxic parents get what the want once they figure our how much it's going to cost. Fundraising is a high priority and most of the funds raised are used to plan social events for the parents who are living vicariously through their children and to offset low enrollment; the funds do not flow to the classroom.If educating your children well and raising up responsible, kind, productive members of society is your goal, find a different school.

Terrible place! No age appropriate curriculum implemented. Children sit during transitioning, children do are not stimulated while waiting. Children watch TV for long periods of time rather than doing activities. Activities are not child initiated and do not explore. They get printed handouts.
