Kiddie Academy

We are new to Western this year. We absolutely loved our old public school in the Etiwanda School District, but my older daughter was not ready for middle school for many reasons (she was previously on a 504) and our friends recommended Western to us. We were very blessed to get both of our girls into school (6th and 2nd) and the experience has been amazing. The teachers, staff and childcare administrators have taken the time to personally get to know my girls and our family and they go out of their way to tell me something special that happened during the day when I pick them up. My girls have had opportunities here they would never have had at their prior schools through bible lessons, theater, music, art, live history (thank you Ms. Baca for the mummy lessons), sports (not everyone makes the team but they learn to support each other) and so much more. They stress the importance of love and acceptance. Your children (and you) are truly loved in this place! It is a place where your children can grow not just academically but also emotionally, spiritually and socially. The best part of all, your middle schooler can still be a child in a super safe and supportive environment.

This is a horrible school. They do not use classroom time efficiently, and the majority of teaching gets done at home via homework. There is a highly toxic culture among the parents that flows down to the children. The classrooms are full of children with untreated neurodivergence and spoiled kids who behave horribly with no consequences from the teachers, administration, or parents. Your child will learn in class how to be a Class A goof-off.Bullying is a problem as well and the Principal is uninterested in addressing the issue. Quid pro quo is happening in her office, so the toxic parents get what the want once they figure our how much it's going to cost. Fundraising is a high priority and most of the funds raised are used to plan social events for the parents who are living vicariously through their children and to offset low enrollment; the funds do not flow to the classroom.If educating your children well and raising up responsible, kind, productive members of society is your goal, find a different school.
