Centennial Elementary School

This school isn't what everyone around here makes it out to be. It hasn't been great since Dr. Irving left. Academically, it was ok. Some teachers are really good and attentive. Some will tell you your child has a learning disability because they have trouble grasping a certain subject. Bullying is not taken seriously at this school, not with the previous principal or the current, despite the administration telling you that they do everything in their power to ensure students feel safe. Both the principal and assistant principal will call your child and any complaints "petty." They just do everything they need to do to cover their own behinds in case you go to the district or sue. Yard aides are mean. Some teachers are nice, but most are biased towards and show favoritism to students whose parents they are friends with. Some teachers also gossip about students to other parents, which I find unethical, unprofessional and an invasion of student privacy. The moms who ran the parent club while my children were there were all catty, gossipy and pretentious. Parents also have a huge sense of entitlement. They don't follow parking lot/drop off rules because that's what Seven Oaks people do, apparently. The current principal will also not fight for your students or even push up against the district. Not even a little. You're better off homeschooling your kids or heading over to Highgate where I hear the principal is more assertive.

My son is on the spectrum. This is his third year going to this school. I have had the most wonderful experience. We have struggled with toiletings, meltdowns, outbursts, energy, socialization (obviously), speech, learning differences and more. Every step of the way the teachers, aids, and Sped staff has been phenomenal. I could not have asked for more. Each time I inquire about support for anything. I am always given resources and have had ease of gain accommodations and services. This has been a great experience.

6 out of 7 grandchildren have attended Patriot! Some of these grandchildren have left with all A’s. A couple others have a slight learning disability. Learning is very hard for them. Patriot offers extra help during school hours. This is good, but when they return to class it seams like they are behind on what has gone on while they were away. That means extra home work with a parent who is already working long hours and tries to pay attention in little amount of time. I don’t have an idea on how to fix this. Just saying from this point of view.

Good school and teachers. Safe and healthy environment for kids.

I happen to stumble across this website and I'm glad I did because I get the opportunity to brag on Country Christian School. I currently have multiple children attending CCS and I could not be happier. I knew signing my children up here they would be challenged to do their best. Though my children have different strengths and weaknesses when it comes to their academic abilities they are thriving in their classrooms and social environment. Jesus is the head of this campus and there is peace when you enter. The classrooms are well ran and you can tell the staff loves the kids. Thank you Country Christian for an atmosphere where my children not only are excelling academically but it is such a blessing to see their relationship with Jesus blossoming as well.
