Robins Elementary School

In the 3 years our children have been attending Laguna, it has been great. Our Children like going to school every day. There was minor details during the past school year, and it was taken care of immediately. We think that more parents need to have more involvement in their child's education. Our kids Teacher's this year are Great!!!!!

My daughter has flourished since attending this school, 2nd grade, after leaving a local charter school, K-1st. She doesn't seem as drained or stressed out. The teacher has great communication so far and her principal has an open door policy.

While trying to talk with the headmaster David, my son interrupted me, so I took it as a teachable moment to let him know that unless it's an emergency it's rude to interrupt someone, well this guy told my son to go ahead and talk, completely undermining me as a parent. A couple weeks later it comes out that my son was being touched inappropriately by another student in the bathroom. When David talked to me about this, his idea to fix the problem was to make it so my son was only allowed to go the the bathroom during class/learning times so the teachers could keep an eye on who was going to the bathroom with him, nothing about the other student having to restrict his bathroom time though. At that point I had finally had enough and took my children out of that "school" but David refused to release their transcripts because it was the middle of the quarter (my guess is he didn't want to have to pay back that portion of the tuition). I had to threaten legal action for him to do the paperwork so I could get them enrolled in somewhere else. This place is the worst kind of joke and David the headmaster should be fired but that won't happen because he sits on the board of directors.

Carden of Tucson is by far one of the best schools our family has been a part of. Our eldest child attended other local public schools and we found it to be overwhelming, at times disorganized and that he wasn't getting the one on one engagement he needed. With our two younger children we were able to enroll them in Carden because we wanted them to have a different experience and I can honesty say my husband and I have been nothing but impressed with the Carden experience. Teachers are caring and engaging, the curriculum is rigorous but realistic and the overall values of the school shows in the spirit found on campus. Teachers and administrative staff communicate affectively and parent/family involvement is encouraged.

In our experience and our opinion, Green Fields Country Day School/ALL is absolutely not a safe or supportive environment for neurodivergent children. In our experience, the staff, including the VP, lacked the training, empathy, and professionalism necessary to meet basic needs of a neurodivergent student.When my child struggled, instead of trying to understand or support him, his behavior was dismissed and mischaracterized in ways that I found not only inappropriate but appalling. In our experience, there was no advocacy, no effort, and no compassion-just indifference and incompetence.Despite our family's alumni ties, we will never send another child here. In our opinion, this school does not care about the well-being of neurodivergent students, and I deeply regret ever entrusting them with my child’s education. If your child requires real support and understanding, look elsewhere-this school is not it, in our family’s opinion.
