Sun Valley Elementary School

I am a current student at this school and I want to leave so bad. This school is terrible and sucks at teaching. They don’t care about the students they treat the students differently and bully’s them. The food here is DISGUSTING it’s undercooked and just NASTY. The students here are worse they talk about drama left and right and they make up stuff for fun or just because they are bored. DONT BRING YOUR KID HERE.

Is your child has autism or any?Type of disability do not send him to this school.They will sit there and chase you around even if your child has an I.P or 504, especially if they have autism, they will just continue to suspend the child half day suspensions.Try again the next day my daughter with an I e p was suspended over 30 times she missed half a first grade because they could not support her in any type of way.Even on the website of the pendergas district, it says that they have amazing teachers and help for kids with disabilities that is false.They do not.They don't have anything put in place for these children

2025-2026 Was the 1st and last year for two of my children. The experience from most teachers was horrible, I had to constantly make appointments with not only the teachers but the principal. On top of it not all teachers respond unless I cc the rest. They run classes very strictly, yet the teachers themselves need more training. Kids are there to learn and not feel they are in some type of boot camp and hate going. I have a gifted child that I was told he would continue his gifted classes and they took a while to even put him. After several times of me continuously reaching out, and even then the teacher only would give him a sheet to do. In my opinion they didn’t provide the correct gifted program I was told about. I’m glad I am a parent that is involved with my children education and recommend everyone to do the same.

I had my son in Alta Loma many years ago and after moving away we are now back in the community, and although this is not our home base school I made it a priority to now have my daughter attending. I had the most amazing experience with my son that I wanted my daughter to experience it as well. All of the teachers and staff have been so incredibly supportive with helping give her the best experience. I would highly recommend this school to anyone moving into the area.

Cotton Boll needs to have much higher ratings than what is above. It is an excellent school that goes above and beyond. Thank you to the admin that is visible on campus and to the teachers that truly care. I know sometimes teaching is a thankless job but know you are so very appreciated by many. The talk about the school is so positive and the community greatly appreciates you. Thank you for making a difference.

Dont care for the school, The Peoria school district must of forgot about this school.
