This principal creates a completely toxic environment. She constantly yells at, belittles, and criticizes teachers and staff in front of others, making it clear that intimidation is her go-to management style. You hear her complaining, gossiping, and talking down to people all the time, which makes the whole school feel tense and unsafe. Staff morale is nonexistent, and it’s obvious that fear and favoritism drive how things get done instead of support or collaboration. It’s exhausting to see, and it really undermines the entire learning environment for students.

My kids been going here for five months I’ve never received so many phone calls for the petty situations. These teachers are getting younger and younger can’t handle situations. They are quick to issue a referral. It’s just petty phone call.

All of my children went to this school from kindergarten to 8th grade. In the early grades teachers were caring and supportive and so was the administration. In the jr high grades the staff and administrators became uncaring, non supportive and treated my children and myself as a burden whenever something happened regarding discipline. The principal was rude to me and showed a lack of concern and compassion for my family, my children and their success in school.Communication was non existent unless I initiated it and sadly we couldn’t wait to leave at the end of 8th grade. If you want your child supported in every aspect of life and feel a sense of belonging and support, this school misses the mark in jr high.

I had my son in Alta Loma many years ago and after moving away we are now back in the community, and although this is not our home base school I made it a priority to now have my daughter attending. I had the most amazing experience with my son that I wanted my daughter to experience it as well. All of the teachers and staff have been so incredibly supportive with helping give her the best experience. I would highly recommend this school to anyone moving into the area.

My step daughter has been going to this school for a while. All this time that she has been here was terrible for her. The vice principal at this school has been picking on my step daughter. I do not tolerate this behavior. I do not recommend Ira Murphy for anyone. The staff here is terrible. They never want to hear anyone out and make so many false accusations. If I could take my step daughter out of this school, I would. She has been complaining to me about her school and the staff there. I absolutely do not want to see any other kid feeling this way. Seeing my step daughter looking miserable everyday after school makes my heart shatter and fills me with anger. This is a terrible school and no child should have to go through this.
