Heritage Elementary School

1. The learning. Some teachers are great and fun, but others scream at you because you don’t get it or some dont explain well and don’t accept questions. 2. Teaching/teachers. Some are amazing but others like I said explain badly or scream at you the whole time, most teachers just blame you for anything because you did something bad ONCE. 3. Emotional support. The military consoler is the only one that I’ve been pulled for, they are very nice and sweet and helpful. I’ve never seen or experienced others. Though, the teachers aren’t to great but I guess it’s not their job. 4. Special education. I don’t have any disabilities so wouldn’t know what it’s like. though most of my teachers just don’t yell at them and treat them nicely, even though they’re screaming, just so that they stop screaming and interrupting the teaching instead of actually getting them in trouble.5. Safety. The drills are fine I guess. but, there are so many bullies and the lunch food is moldy and unpleasant. 6. Family engagement. I have no family in this school but here is what friend of mine suggests. I disagree because the last time I tried going with my sibling at parent pick up to our car but then a teacher yelled at me and told me to go back.Overall, I don’t like this school, I only go because of my friends

i have two girls; both have gone to dreaming summit since kindergarten...one is currently in middle school and the other is finishing up her last year at dse. certainly with having children at the school for the last 6+ years there are a few incidents i wasn't pleased with, but i would definitely not let them define my total experience with the school or the staff. i think overall the staff are truly concerned with the students and community. the school is very involved with the community and do SO many activities throughout the year. The curriculum is good and the teaching methods used have always kept my kids involved and very interested in their studies. I do wish i would see homework more frequently to have a better idea of the subject matter on a more frequent basis.

The teachers are super friendly and accommodating. This school has a lot to offer my children who all have different learning styles. They provide reading and math groups to all students regardless if they are high or low! I love all there is to offer.

If your planning on going here as someone from 7th or 8th grade, I would personally recommend going to an actual middle school instead. It seems like at this school the people in middle school were just added so they could get an extra buck. I've only been at this school for 1 year, but based on what people say this school is way better at teaching elementary than middle school. Some of the teachers here are nice but the ones that aren't give unfair punishments towards students and usually they punish the entire class for something one student does. Even though some of the teachers suck, some of them have been the best teachers I've had.

they need more support for the kids. not all kids learn the same.

Dont care for the school, The Peoria school district must of forgot about this school.

This school is organized, clean, and a locked campus. Besides being faith based the teachers go out of their way to accommodate parents requests.
