Read what parents are saying about Perry High SchoolPerry is not an academic school, it is a sports school. The AP and honors teachers are great but the principal doesn't really care, she is sloppy and over committed to athletics. The enrollment has been trending down for the past three years. Eventually with the hyper focus on sports, I would expect a decline in academic students especially with ACP opening up next door. It's decent school, I'd compare it top Horizon High School.
Posted by a parent on 5/3/2023Cookie cutter mediocre school! My child is advanced she’s in AP classes very intelligent (we are middle class) we came from a private school. This school is not supportive to the middle class or non LDS, a good 1/2 of teachers aren’t great. We have experienced teachers openly discussing there religion, politics, personal problems in the class. Science is not taught because it’s “political”, the whole school basically caters to LDS pushing other students out causing a definite lack of diversity. They have a great science teacher who can’t teach. LDS kids shake there heads through his class even though it’s catered to them. No emotional support and a lot of judgment passed, so unless your Mormon I would definitely pass on this school. My child’s grades dropped after a covid quarantine and its end of the year. BEWARE of this school it’s mediocre at best. My daughter has also heard about drug use in the bathrooms so it’s no better with that then other schools. If you want your child unhappy & judged go to Perry.

Posted by a community member on 7/8/2020My son did not feel included at Perry, he can not wait to leave there. We were thinking about moving him but it really interfered with his athletics, since he would have to sit out for 6 matches if he transferred and there was not a bus to take him to school. Very disappointed with the Puma Nation!

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is a true blessing for gifted and exceptional students! After several unhappy years of attending a regular public school system filled with clueless educators, labeling, alienation, and demoralizing pressure to "fit into a square box", WGA is finally a happy home for our gifted child. The children here are nurtured and valued, always motivated to embrace and develop their unique differences and talents, and most importantly always striving to explore their curiosity and learn! For this first time in our child's educational journey, the phrase " I'm bored in school", ceased to exist since the classes are taught above the grade level and provide a very unique, project-based learning experience to keep the curious minds excited and occupied. The school is also very safe and the students are extremely motivated and disciplined. A big shout out to Mr. Savage for being an awesome and inspiring educator and working hard to help our children reach their full potential!Parent Review7mo ago - Chandler Traditional Academy-Freedom

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is very strict and it seems like certain children get away with everything, and others get punished often. Because it’s a boys club at this school girls are praised for being pretty and orderly. If they are of a different culture or not polite enough the teachers punish by embarrassing.Parent Review2mo ago - Audrey & Robert Ryan Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAdministrators can't tell the difference between their upper orifice and their lower one. Not interested in having the very best teachers, only ones they can control and micromanage. Their high turnover rate is an indication of this. Wouldn't know good pedagogy if they saw it. Of course, this is becoming more and more a reflection of the district as a whole. Narcissism amongst administration is running rampant.Other Review11mo ago - Haley Elementary School
