The students and teachers deserve a more joyous environment. The current atmosphere created by the sitting principal is punitive and very condescending. Parental involvement would also increase if the principal created a more welcoming environment. The only thing Sherwood is worried about is competing with Lakewood and making an A. Focus on the students and your great staff and you may achieve that status. The top-down approach is not getting better results out of your teachers and students.

This school doesn’t take ownership in how each child’s learn out of all schools in pc district this would be my last choice for my child

If your child attends this school please make sure that they are not afraid to tell you anything . My grandson has been bullied by his teacher severely to the point where he has to go to the doctor for anxiety now. Apparently there is not a dress code for the office staff. When my grandson was checked out was a lady wearing a cut off belly shirt working in the office. I was greeted by another lady with her saying yeah. A car almost hit my grandson in the car rider line. His teacher taunted students, pulled students up by their collars of their shirts, and take care less about her students. Whenever I was told this information about his teacher he was taken out of the school. He is now homeschooled. The office staff does not check IDs on who checks out your child. The car rider line teachers do not do this either. All they do is Scream the child's name. This is the most horrendous school that I have ever heard of. It saddens me that anyone has to go through this with their child. Some children only get attention at school. School is supposed to be a safe place in a place for learning. I can only wish that anyone's children do not go through the same experience.

Each time I was in contact with office staff, they were hostile, rude, and never willing to help. If they did look at you, it was up and down first. I loathed having to go in there just as much as they seemed to be there. Maybe it was just my two years experience but for that simple reason, we will not spend time/money at this particular school.

Kids are not safe at this school. I have had 3 children in this school over the past 10 years and all 3 are extremely bullied to the point of having to leave before other kids so they don’t get “jumped”. My kindergartner came home with a busted lip the second week of school. The admins at this school are a joke. Please take your children elsewhere if you can.

My son is a 2nd generation Glenwood attendee. Glenwood has done nothing but improved since I attended their 23 years ago. My son loves the school, has made a ton of friends. The teachers are wonderful with the students. The school is family oriented. The only downside is the tuition is a little high but not in comparison to other private schools in our area.
