Augusta Evans School

This school is below average, not what I expected. Teachers are not that involved with students or parents. Car line ladies in the morning are rude and hit your car to " keep it moving" I choose to deal with the dreading car line because they have recently lost a student on the bus. Announcements of school spirit wear happens maybe 1 week before It doesn't give you time to prepare or buy your child something to wear for that day, not organized and not family friendly.

My 8 year old grandson and 5 year old granddaughter attend this school and we love it. The teachers and staff have been very nice and very cooperative with my daughter and myself, and both kids love going to school here. My grandson will be in the third grade this year and has been attending this school since kindergarten. It's the only school he has ever attended. My granddaughter will be in kindergarten this year and was in Pre-K 4 here last year. She can't wait for school to start. She adored her teachers last year and we were told that ALL the kindergarten teachers want her in their class this year. My grandson has been accepted into the PACE program for the coming year and I don't think he would have been if he wasn't for his teachers. He is ADHD and can sometimes be a behavioral problem. But all of his teachers have been willing to work with him and when there are problems they are quickly resolved. They communicate well with us and with the children. We hope they can both continue to attend this school until they are ready for the next level.

This is the worst school ever. The teachers talk to the kids like they are nothing. They bully the kids and verbally Abuse them. The principal does nothing about it. I have called the school board and nothing still hasn’t been done. My kids got 3 more months. They will never return here I ask for a transfer the school board keep giving me the run around about it.

Given the level of services, I would not pay to send my child to Faith. The teachers are underqualified compared to Saraland, Satsuma, and Baldwin County teachers (probably because they barely pay a livable wage). Secondly, they have a history of hiring friends and family which leads to scandals such as the soccer coach scandal. The guidance counselor (part of a family who has sent at least 4 kids through Faith) who did not report the incident as a mandatory reporter and then had the audacity to appeal her sentence was never terminated by Faith which should be very concerning to prospective families. Athletes get coddled, families with money get coddled, and friends and family get coddled. Instead of throwing away money, go to church, then put your child in a better performing private school like St. Paul's or better yet, Saraland, Satsuma, Spanish Fort, Fairhope, or Daphne.

A wonderful family welcoming community. All my kids attend and the staff take time to know each of their children and parents.

Corpus Christi is an outstanding school! Faculty and staff are great and really care about the children. The school has a challenging curriculum and there are plenty of fun activities and traditions. It is a beautiful school and it is small enough to have a "family" feel. My sons LOVE Corpus Christi!

All three of my children have gone to this school. We love the teachers and staff.
