Read what parents are saying about Morris Elementary SchoolExcellent. This is a fabulous school. I wish more satisfied parents would speak up. It's a shame that a few unhappy people taint a school's reputation.

Posted by a parent on 5/30/20180 I rate it a 0. This is in no way a school should react. They are a 0 and no one should put their kids at Morris Elementary.
Posted by a parent on 11/18/2017This school seems more intent on preparing children for institutionalization rather than providing a fun and nurturing learning environment. While visiting the cafeteria there, my husband observed a teacher yelling at the kids to "Shut their mouths." When I called the vice principal to complain about this she laughed during much of our conversation, as if that is funny in the least. We have seen a teacher in the parking lot directing the traffic wearing a shirt that said "Sexy" and I've seen a teacher wearing a Budweiser shirt. As a kindergartner there, my son's class was often not allowed to have snack and continuously threatened to miss out on recess due a couple kids in the class misbehaving. Now as a first grader he has not had a snack once. I would recommend all parents facing having to send their kids to this school to seriously reconsider, and do everything in their power to avoid the school.
Posted by a parent on 9/3/2014I am Tina Greer, principal at Morris Elementary School. I am so pleased by the comments made by some of our parents. The staff/faculty at Morris truly is a professional learning community dedicated to developing the potential of every single child. I am using this public forum to personally thank them for the hard work that I see every day. They are responsive to children, parents and to the requirements of their job. I also thank the parents who are so supportive. We currently have 570+ students and just could not be effective as a school without their help. It is a privilege to be the principal at Morris Elementary.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageKids run wild in the hall. Walk into the classes and sse if you notice any structured learning going on. Chromebooks not being used effectively, kids sitting and rawing in Science classes, etc. Their scores would improve if they went back to the good ol' way of teaching and take the toys out of their hands.Parent Review4y ago - Mcdonnell Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to this school for most of my elementary years, I am now a ninth grader at Butler High, this elementary school is a amazing school, all the teachers really care about the children in the classes. They strive to make a difference in each student. I was a straight A student, because each of the teachers decided they want all of the students to do well, they taught in different ways, explained in many ways, and had different teachers try different ways of teaching you something that you don't understand. They try their best to teach every student, and help out with anything they can.Other Review10y ago - Ridgecrest Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is an amazing school. Huntsville is so lucky to have this school. Amazing teachers that tailor class work to each student. My son learned to read here at 3.5 years old, he does basic bath, learns geography, and real life concepts. My son can do so much on his own because he has been taught and encouraged at the school. The students that attend here are excellent kids. This is a wonderful learning environment and is not a daycare where kids run around all willy nilly and just play. I like that he is always learning and does challenging work. I see the results daily with the school work he brings home. I couldn't be happier with this school and the teachers.Parent Review11y ago - Islamic Academy of Huntsville

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is our second year at Valley Fellowship. We have elementary age children and have been very impressed by the admin, teachers and curriculum. My children are constantly learning and being challenged in a loving and safe environment. They no longer say they are bored and always have something to talk about when I pick them up. Another reason we chose this school was their use of books over computers especially for the lower grades. Parents also have access to their child's lesson plans, homework and grades. Every action and decision taken by the school is purposeful with the goal of fostering a greater partnership with each family. They are open and transparent so we can work with the staff to help our children become responsible, Christian leaders.Parent Review8mo ago - Covenant Classical School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son started attending Covenant Classical Research Park when he was one. We experienced 3 different directors, so I can write an honest review about this school. I was losing faith in the school but they finally got it right by hiring the current Director Paul and the Assistant Ditector Crystal. The current Director and Assistant Director are the kindest individuals and they have completely changed the atmosphere of CCS-RP., are the best!! My son graduated Kindergarten from CCS-RP and we loved his Teacher Ms. TashaBird. My son scored above average on his SAT and he was accepted into the top private school in Huntsville ( my son ranked above average in all areas of his 1st grade evaluations). I highly recommend CCS-RP and I am so thankful they got rid of the bad administration and teachers, because this school is now top notch!Parent Review6y ago - Holy Family Parochial School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe just started at Holy Family this year. It was exactly what our family needed. We are so thankful for the staff and parents at Holy Family. They have made us feel welcome and right at home. The curriculum is a much higher standard than we were used to, and it was the perfect challenge.Parent Review1mo ago
