4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageEvery teacher I have met has been very kind and helpful. It is a safe environment where the kids are encouraged to work together. They do not allow bullying. They let kids work ahead in math. My son and daughter were able to take 9th grade Algebra in 7th grade because the teachers do not hold students back. This school challenges kids. The choir teacher is incredibly skilled at teaching kids different styles of singing, including songs in foreign languages. The African drumming and dancing group gives kids a fun after school club to experience different styles of music. My son loved the "Math is Cool" club.Parent Review7y ago - Rogers High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageJohn R. Rogers High School has the largest racial/economic/disability diversity in Spokane County. With these specialties, John R has impressive AP testing and a high graduation rate. Our successes are due to our Hillyard Attitude for WE are John R and our uniqueness makes us kinder and stronger. If the outside world could see the crushing weight of challenges that affect the students here, everyone would be in awe of how marvelous this place truly is.Parent Review6y ago - Shaw Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is ran like a prison. Constant student fighting and vaping and the staff are careless. The students are guilty as soon as they walk in the school and they are expected to act like they are adult. The safety officer is lazy and the sits around. The education is far below what they would get at nearby schools because the students are so out of control. Both of my kids have been assaulted seriously at this school and the school never reported either incidence to me.Parent Review6mo ago - Check out schools near 5425 E Bridgeport Ave.

"If you're talking about greenstone properties development, I'm been here 8 years. It's got crowded people that don't live here come Here Is the problem for me? And I don't really like the idea. Without gating community, it is caused a problem for me. I can't hardly walk my dog sometimes. There might be 4 people walking I'd like to see the area gated with a key. So the only access to this place would be the people that live here. It's gotten polluted, people are breaking the fence. They're breaking the The bench a The shooting area and also other areas. They have broken, then I can't even tell you. So open gated HOA is no no"

"There are children around but only by necessity as rent is very cheap here. It is absolutely not friendly, one of the most dangerous areas in Spokane. Prolific trash and dumping, as well as a very heavy homeless population. There are obvious signs of drug use, as well as public drug use sightings increasing. People drive extremely fast and recklessly depending on the road. Not a place for children."

"There are a lot of dogs here. Some people clean up after their dogs. Some dogs are loose because of homeless population. Not a family friendly area."

"Great neighborhood with amenities like parks, groceries and speciality stores. Convenient to get downtown via Southeast Blvd. Easy to get to the I-90 freeway to get to the Valley, Airway Heights, and area near the freeway. Not as cozy a neighborhood as the west side of the South Hill. More commercial but you get the conveniences."
