3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHi I’m a parent from a student that graduated and went here for 3 years . This is my honesty review and I hope this helps you and your child :). Basically my son went here for 3 years and the tests weren’t as hard as they are in other schools , this school is a 3/10 but I honestly think it deserves better and more attention. I really appreciate the teachers and staff there because of them my son is now a lawyer !!! Thank you for reading.Parent Review4mo ago - Sonnie Penn Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers tend to be engaging at least in the classes I've been in. I think the biggest issues in the learning side are the social studies and math classes. I've had excellent teachers in both departments, but most of the time the lessons are lectures and the work is the same all the time. I understand its hard to make those subjects engaging, but more effort could be made. The school is safe for the most part, at least during school hours. I have heard there are issues with bullying and drugs, but I haven't seen them. I do know the school is not very responsive to students. I have severe Anxiety and I have Autism. The school does not assist this issues at all. In fact, they denied me a 504 plan, after waiting a month to respond to our initial request. They had no meeting, and only had one person review the ADOS report. They did not tell me why they denied me; they only said I was denied. They are also infamous for not accommodating for disabilities. "Fin Friends" feels more like a publicity stunt to make people think they are accommodating, but it's more for the non-disabled students then the disabled students. Frankly, I think it's an alright school unless you have any disability.Student Review5mo ago - Check out schools near 5107 Anchorstone Dr.

"I currently do not have a commute for work. I've lived in this area for many years. (since 1981) it has grown from country to suburbs with bus routes available in that time. traffic has become an issue with the building of all the homes and apartment communities."

"The neighborhood's main Street has a very busy road during rush hour. Many people use it as a shortcut. A bit dangerous to dogs if they're not in a fenced yard or leashed. Many dogs owners live here and are fine keeping their dogs inside the house or yard. "

"The area/neighborhood has limited sidewalks I.E only one side has sidewalks the other side is grass. lots of areas only have grass so you have to walk on the street, plus lots of areas have no poop signs because they maintain their lawns. overall it's okay but more sidewalks would be great. "

We are within walking distance to shopping, Transit Bus line pick ups and my son will Graduate in the new upcoming 2021 Graduation Year, just as this Single Momma had Planned it all out when O chose our Home & Community 12 years ago! "They would love the hidden dog parks and open fields. There are a few places that have water bowls outside the door. Not a lot of poop bag stations though. You will hear barks at night so don’t be too worry about your dog waking people. I genuinely believe people don’t really care "
