4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is a decent school. Yes, it has its difference in students and teachers but everyone has a job to do in the school and the student job is to get their education and the teacher's job is to give them the curriculum that was giving to them in their lesson plans to teach the students what they need to know to succeed.Student Review6y ago - Churchland Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child needed tutoring and she is doing so much better after really struggling due to being out for Covid. Was seriously considering private school, but very pleased with the outreach from teachers and staff. They’re doing a stellar job!Parent Review3mo ago - Churchland Primary & Intermediate School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI rate my experience at Churchland Primary a 10. Every teacher my boys have had was amazingly nice and helpful, my children learn, they made friends, the schools has walls now, and that is so much better for the classroom environment. The front desk is friendly, the nurse, the security guard, the parent liaison and the gym teacher Mrs. Rudolph puts on the BEST ceremonies with the children. I love the school.Parent Review4y ago - Check out schools near 5623 Rivermill Cir.

"I lived here for many year's it's a dangerous place now. And the price they are trying to charge is ridiculous. You can live in a nice place for the prices they are asking here. It's laughable. "

"I've lived in South Loxley for 47 years, very nice established community, perfect for young couples with children and pets, very pleasant neighbors, very private, and feels very safe as compared to some areas of VA. Very sad to leave as I raised both of my daughters there, however I am retired, 84 and ready for a new chapter. "

"knuckleheads, "users", vehicles with loud music, occasional speeding vehicles, gunshots, lack of sidewalks. BUT... EVERYTHING I'VE LISTED HERE IS CHANGING FOR THE BETTER. EVERYTHING. I've listed these because they still remain, however little. "

"Don’t raise your kids in Portsmouth. It’s a pretty rough neighborhood. My wife and I moved here for the military so we weren’t aware. It’s nicer and better for families elsewhere like Chesapeake or Norfolk. "

"The overall area is nice but the townhome’s themselves are not being well maintained for the area where it’s located. If you take a ride around the townhouse area you will see it is trashy, there is trash everywhere even in the parking lot, the dumpsters are overflowing with trash and furniture spilling out of it, the parking lot is filled with potholes. This area is run down & has not been maintained at all. Although you have some of the townhouses that are well maintained it doesn’t make up for the vast majority. It is sad because Charlestowne used to be very beautiful. Do yourself a favor pass this one but unless you’re buying the entire neighborhood & renovating it all!!"
