Read what parents are saying about Churchland Middle SchoolMy child needed tutoring and she is doing so much better after really struggling due to being out for Covid. Was seriously considering private school, but very pleased with the outreach from teachers and staff. They’re doing a stellar job!
Posted by a parent on 1/23/2024I once went to this school and it was not a pleasant experience. The people there are rude and dont even get me started on the amount of fights that break out. I never once felt safe when walking in the halls between periods. The best things there were the teachers most of the students scared me. Over all I do not think this would be a safe environment for children.

Posted by a student on 12/2/2022Great school and great administration. Middle school in general is difficult no matter the city. If your child enters middle school and you expect them to be hand held like they were in elementary school you will have issues. Parents need to be involved with their children's education as well as working with the administration to have success. No school can do everything for your child. It starts at home. My daughter had a very successful 7th grade year, maintained honor roll, was on the track team and has now entered her 8th grade year. I look forward to another successful year.
Posted by a parent on 9/6/2016Our family has enjoyed the time spent at Churchland Middle. It is a school that offers a lot - sports, clubs, great courses, and more. We could not be happier.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience with this school is that they are not attuned with the "social /emotional well-being" of their students, and DO NOT seem to be implementing or following through with "Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies." There is a vast amount of "bullying" at this school, and there is very little being done to address it. Students are parading and having "Meltdowns" in the classrom, and during this display, throwing objects that land on other students causing them to be hurt. The school's cafeteria is a "disaster" where "bullying" is taking place, and the "Lunch Monitor" seems unconcerned when students approach her. She displays the same attitude in the classroom environment. Lower-level grade students are unable to prove their case, and it's often the teacher and /or teacher's aide who defends their own lapses or ill-mannered treatment toward these students. My heart goes out to the students, and hope they can overcome the cruel treatment that they are experiencing at this school, at the hands of personnel of seem less phased about their well-being and their education. Administration seems helpless and pretty much have her staff running the conference, with her having very little verbal inteaction with the person who requested the conference."Bullying" is REAL, and I encourage you to contact the school board if you feel that your are not being heard. Be an advocate for your child, and do it quickly.Parent Review1y ago - Northern Shores Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a retired elementary school teacher. I am the grandparent of a child attending NSES as a second grader for the first year in the area. I have found the faculty and staff to be most supportive. The safety of my grandchild appears to be paramount. I am so pleased that this is the school he will be attending while his father is stationed here.Parent Review10mo ago - Toras Chaim
