3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIncredibly disappointed with Hillcrest and how they handle the vaping epidemic in the school. They claim they are one of the only Jr Highs with vape sensors in the bathrooms- to help the problem. Yet, they know exactly what kids are vaping and who is selling IN THE SCHOOL- they do nothing about it.They are also failing hard when it comes to test taking grades of the students. The statewide testing for math and English- the students have a 24% passing rate in Hillcrest. We picked Murray District for our kids, because we were under the impression that Murray is fantastic. Hillcrest Jr High is painfully failing in every aspect we have experienced.Do yourself a favor and research the school you pick for your kids. Send them to Riverview if you have to be in Murray. I hope Hillcrest can figure it out and do better for the students they have.Parent Review4mo ago - Mcmillan School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to Murray High as well as all my children. Four went on to BYU and 1 went to University of Utah. Some were able to get scholarships to help them through college. The great thing about Murray High is that the children all grow up together ---through the community sports programs and other things. The elementary schools feed into the 2 Junior High school and then they all go to the one high school. It enables the children and parents to know each other by the time they are in high school. There is a great sense of community and the kids are generally very nice and well behaved. Our family has had a great experience at Murray High. They all have good jobs now and are well adjusted, respectful kids just like those they went to school with.Parent Review10y ago - Check out schools near 5720 S 900 E #3.

"Safe. Many schools are in walking distance and they are exceptional. Mostly quiet—a few rentals for the college students can make things occasionally loud."

"Easy commute, I feel like I can get anywhere in the valley in 15 minutes or less! The traffic in this neighborhood has increased exponentially and it is a huge downgrade to this once-quiet neighborhood. "

"The quaint lamposts and charming houses make this a particularly beautiful place to live. Some people are friendly, some not. I’d say 50/50. Halloween is a blast, and Christmas time, the decorations on Michigan Avenue cannot be beat!"

"This neighborhood is a great walking neighborhood. There are parks, restaurants, grocery stores , shops, veterinarian clinic, salons and even the “humpback roundabout’” that are within walking distance. It is close to downtown, but feels suburban with single family homes and only a few duplexes or small apartment buildings. "
