3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI graduated in 2000 and was involved in both band and softball, and now my son is enrolled there and is involved in both band and ROTC and I love the fact that he's seen nothing but positivity there as well did I before graduation.Parent Review6y ago - Silva Health Magnet High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCurrently, a Senior at Silva who will graduate with a 4.2 GPA, and I can tell you this school has prepared me with a strong resume for college and even the workforce. Silva does give you a great insight into the healthcare field and, by the time you graduate, you will definitely have a decision as to whether healthcare is for you or not. The clinical rotations at Silva are great, since they let you shadow in actual hospitals and see procedures you would only see during college such as surgeries. In addition, some senior programs even let you shadow any physician you want. As a graduating Silva student, I have obtained healthcare certifications that will allow me to work in a decent healthcare part-time job during college while building my resume for medical school. Everyone else that says that "Silva is too hard", just doesn't have the drive or doesn't put in the work to make up for a good grade. Silva is definitely not hard, it only requires a bit of determination. If you are a person who tends to underperform or slack off in school with the childish excuse that "it's too much for my mental health" then, I can assure you, you will have a bad time at Silva because you won't take responsibility for your failures and will blame it all on your teachers or your nonexistent teeneage "mental issues".Parent Review11mo ago - Richardson Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son graduated from Nolan and my daughter is currently enrolled. Both of my children took pre-AP core classes, and I am incredibly satisfied with academic rigor. Almost all teachers they have had are exceptional, and I highly recommend this school. Also, I love how culturally diverse the neighborhood is.Parent Review4mo ago - Career & Tech Ed Center

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI enrolled two children here a few years apart and they had wonderful experiences participating in summer research programs, band, orchestra, math competitions and more. They made lifelong friends. They are both very well prepared for University and graduated high school with associate degrees.Parent Review3y ago - Nixon Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers and staff are great don't get me wrong but the admin team is so focused on passing kids not caring if these kids are prepared or not. They care more about how the school will look than if kids are well prepared. Even teachers are concerned and reprimanded when they speak out about it. Just awful honestly...Parent Review10mo ago - Check out schools near 4613 Loma Linda Cir.

"This neighborhood is beautiful. The Franklin Mountains are nearby, great for hiking, walking, and bicycling. There are several beautiful parks for family recreation and dog walking. There’s plenty of options for places to shop and eat. We have a new water park nearby as well. The neighbors are friendly and helpful if needed. "

"Most dog walkers are friendly and respectful picking up after their dogs. The neighborhood works well together when an owners dog gets loose. We have beautiful parks, mountains with great trails for walking. There are dog groomers and pet stores available. So many neighbors have picked up stray dogs, brought them to get checked for a chip so that they can be reunited with their families."

"Lots of people walking dogs. There is the occasional off leash dog or dogs who have gotten out. Multiple people leave their dogs out in their yards so they bark during the night, but that’s more of an El Paso thing."

"great and safe place to live, if you like outdoors for jogging or cycling - streets are safe or go to run trails. The wild life preserve is just around the corner with great views of the Franklin mountain. NE is the best location in town - far enough from all the city and airport noice, and yet convenient for various shopping, hospitals, entertainment. Drive to the west side, or to the east - spend your day there and come home to relax."
