5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter absolutely loves this school. We did have an issue with a girl who old would not leave my daughter alone; throwing things at her and saying awful things. I am glad to say it was handled very well by the teacher, counselor, and principals. I love that the principal is so involved! We love this school and she can’t wait to go back next year.Other Review10mo ago - Cryar Intermediate School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is extremely focused on appearances. Kids are given passing grades even if they don't earn it! Teachers give out 100's to bring up averages or fake grades. The students are not being prepared for the future. There are some amazing teachers but it is overshadowed my the administrations pressure to look good. There are days the students do nothing in PE because the coach doesn't know how to handle the kids and a teacher that has an extremely negative attitude and literally screams at students. Students that are high achieving are not challenged because all the focus is put on meeting minimum standards. I have subbed at this school several times this year and can not believe this school is rated so high! Also I have seen and heard the kids discussing regulations being broken by staff. It may not be danger but I believe regulations exist for a reason... and students are given candy for completing assignments... a big no no in the world of education.Other Review10y ago - Check out schools near 1606 Yates St.

"Commute gets worse each year as they appear to have no clear traffic plan for FM 1488. They added an additional traffic signal in the last half mile before the I45 on-ramp so the back up now extended through two traffic lights. Can easily take 20 minutes most days driving the 3 miles to I45."
