For the parents that complain about their experiences here at Long, their reviews are over 10 plus years old, and it should not apply for today, in 2023. Parents are here for a brief time, then gone. Same for some of the teachers and principals as well. I encourage the parents to get involved in their students life at Long. It makes a difference in their behavior towards admin. and especially towards teachers. Don't blame others when it is your job as parent to make sure that your child succeeds. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI had all my children and two of my grandchildren go through Furneaux. The first class was in 1982. My son is in first group of students. Even with their low scores it does not mean the school is not a success. Being in the neighbor hood from the beginning many students are rising stars. Testing does not show the true results. "I moved nearby 24 years ago and loving it....very quite place neighbors keep to themselves which does not bother us at all. Close to major freeway, Downtown Dallas approx 21 miles Denton 22 miles and DFW Airport 16 miles. Have had no issues so far of any negative kind, great city recreational center nearby and great school."
