3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePoorly. The staff has a lack of communication. They do not have any supports for special needs. They do not have the staffing nor the adequate training for handling behavioral/sensory situations. They treat parents poorly, have bad rapport with the students and often teachers don't even know the child's name while they are directly in front of them.Parent Review4y ago - Hamlin Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThey spend all the funds on making a stadium instead of giving the children what they need, when this place was built we were told there gonna be a lot of classes for the amount of students here. But no instead of a culinary class or basic school supplies for children we get a dumb stadium that has nothing to do with our education. Everyone who works here or sends their children here should feel ashamed.Other Review2mo ago - Springfield High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI attended Springfield High School all four years and graduated on time. My Senior year I had to take an independent study writing class because the school literally didn't have any writing classes left that I could take. My counselor told me they expected me to fail at least once.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 1700 Linden Ave.

"Gets busy but not horrible. Buses run pretty well. Some express buses. Fair amount of stops. Connects with Eugene easily. The rush hour is usually 30 minutes unless there is an accident or other delay. But, if possible, I would take the bus. The roads are getting busier as time goes on."

"Springfield has pockets of homeowners who care, parent their children, and are responsible citizens. But there are other areas within the city that are sketchy. Not necessarily crime ridden, but just trashier. You have to know the area to know which neighborhoods are respectable. "
- Rhonda D.

"Make sure you have a Community that care. Also know the difference between common sense and stupidity when it comes to people and their neighborhoods. There are certain crazies in town, you need to make sure you know the whereabouts of your children and who are with them. Better be safe than sorry."

"easy access to public transit and close to downtown Springfield and eugene but its trash. there is graffiti and homeless people camping out and doing drugs in stairwells, bushes and under stairs. police sirens multiple times a day. I find needles in the park and laundry mat. stay far far away."

"The schools here aren’t so great and there not much to do like there is to do in places like Portland but there is beautiful places to go hikes. I grew up on the McKenzie and absolutely loved it "

"There’s a walking/bike path that goes a few miles. Starting near shopping and bus lines it goes around parks and school, even a tennis court. Lots of grass along the way for your dog to relieve himself. Most people are decent enough to clean it up. The path ends up over near a river and a new path that runs another direction along nature area with wildlife for your dog to bark at. "
