5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageEvery individual that I know that attended this school was bullied. My brother is scarred for life because of the bullying he experienced at this school in 2023. It's literally 2023 and somehow Leslie still allows students to get away with bullying, unable to protect children under their own care. They do not care about the success of their students, and prefer to sweep incidents under the rug rather than apologise and hold bullies accountable. I am so glad I never went here. If I could give this joke of a school a lower rating, I would!Parent Review5mo ago - South Salem High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur three children graduated from SSHS, heavily involved in music, academics, sports, drama, and languages. I've taught in nine colleges and high schools, and this is hands down the place I miss the most. The IB program offers truly incredible learning opportunities and the majority of students take at least one IB course. AP courses are also available. I missed the staff and community, so in my retirement I volunteer here, with college counseling. Design and building for a new Theatre, Music classrooms and practice spaces, and CTECH spaces has begun. We are loyal to this outstanding learning community and look forward to the adventures ahead.Other Review5y ago - Check out schools near 2555 Simpson St SE.

"There should be trackers in all children’s watches so that way if they do you happen to wander off we will know where they are.. I also think that the city of Salem should try to keep their streets and sidewalks more clean by hiring more people to maintain it"

"There’s a big empty lot by our neighborhood that people take their dogs to. Lots of places to walk to nearby "
- Rob

"This neighborhood suffered from crime and neglect in the 1980's. A huge coordinated effort on the part of the City, schools, churches, and the neighborhood association was started in 1987 and is still ongoing. Crime dropped 27% and neighbors became reacquainted with each other and the charm of the older home neighborhood was restored. "
- Darkeru

"I have lived in Salem my entire life and this house since 2004. This area is improved so much over the years and a lot since we moved here. We have been here 8 years and have had no trouble at all. There is been a little in the neighborhood but not that much especially compared to 10 years ago."
