4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNorth Tonawanda Middle School is one of the most desolate, ghastly places you could ever spend your preteen-hood. My main issue is how they try to shut down leadership and uniqueness among students, and only tell them what they are doing wrong. This school isn't about learning and having fun, which is what school should be, it's about making sure you don't step a toe out of line, and follow suit. It's dehumanizing and disrespectful to all the students, and many of the kids there have little-to-no hope for their future. Nobody there cares what happens to them; no one has any ambitions or dreams. I was in attendance their for a couple of months in the seventh grade before moving to East Amherst; that was only a year ago. I am now in eighth. Please, whatever you do, do not send your child here if you pay any mind to their future. If you do attend here, please have no shame in being yourself and keep your chin up.Other Review5y ago - North Tonawanda Intermediate School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is lacking in several areas. Teachers seem very disconnected, in all classes. My child is in their last year and we couldn't be happier that they are going to another school come September. Communication between the parents and teachers is as minimal as it could possibly get. It appears that they are just pushing the kids along and out with no real concern for a real educational experience. My child who always loved school before going to NTI has lost his love for learning, he comes home often deflated and unmotivated, like I mentioned, no real educational experience. Zero school functions where parents can attend and see what kind of progress is being made. Zero functions for student gatherings outside of the classroom. No musical recitals , even though my child is in band, no dances, no holiday parties or fun fundraisers. This school is a basic as a plain paper plate.Parent Review11mo ago - North Tonawanda High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a student here and ended up dropping out, because I wasn’t going to be allowed to graduate on time. They only care about you if you’re an athlete. They don’t “prepare you for college.” Flunked out of here to end up doing great in college and nursing school. Don’t send your child here unless you want them to feel depressed and defeated.Other Review5mo ago - Check out schools near 401 Niagara St.

"Great little city, I’ve always felt safe. Good schools and an AMAZING farmers market. Even the streets that the people here say are “bad” (at least for this town) are fine. Oliver street and the avenues are cheap and safe. I love it here."

"It’s about 20 minutes on the highway to just south of downtown Buffalo. I don’t use the bus system and they don’t have public busses running along the street where I live. There are a lot of bicyclists that go by."

"I've lived here two years. my street is loud, main road. some very kind neighbors and many people that have issues with domestics, drugs, alcohol and robbery. witnessed drugs deals. love my very kind neighbors. streets need work and several slum lords in the area. also a HUGE issue with dog owners that don't pick up their dogs waste ( from a furbaby mik of two, which never leaves the house without her Poopie bags attached to her furbabies leashes)"
