Set on a sweet corner lot in the heart of Fall Creek, 201 E Marshall St. is a 3BR/1.5BA Folk Victorian charmer with hints of the roaring 20s. Main door enters into the grand living room featuring a mantle trimmed fireplace with brass lighting and tile hearth. Two-story balcony staircase encircles vintage Art Deco chandelier hanging from 18ft ceiling. Second floor has a spacious bathroom, laundry room, and three generous bedrooms with vintage wall lighting and roomy closets. Extra large dining room is bathed in light and features antique brass chandelier. Efficient kitchen has tucked away 1/2 bath and exits to a secluded back porch that leads to an enchanting botanical garden. Side porch with vintage bead board ceilings feels private yet has wonderful views of the flora filled yard. Deep carriage house could be a great garage or studio. This classic gem has been loved by the same family since the 1960s and is ready for your fresh ideas, updates, and improvements. Worth the work!

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe had a great extra Caroline. Maybe kids attended from K-5th. Small class sizes (my sons K class had only 12 kids!) mean lots of teacher-student interaction. Teachers engage the kids with interesting projects and they use the outdoor nature campus for many learning opportunities. The principal was great too. All around a fantastic school!Parent Review1y ago - Beverly J Martin Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIn comparison to other elementary schools of the ICSD, BJM is a truer reflection of inclusion and cultural diversity. If you want your child to learn how to appreciate difference in gender, race, socioeconomic status, ability, and be exposed to a myriad of ways of thought, I would encourage you to consider this school.Other Review5y ago - Dewitt Middle School

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageEnfield is an awesome school. The class sizes are small, teachers are enthusiastic and supported by their administrators and there is a real sense of community. There is a curriculum centered around gardens and farming. There’s a creek and sledding hills and kids spend a lot of time outside year round.Parent Review1y ago - Fall Creek Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageA good school with great teachers, a kind of toxic atmosphere, and equity problems. A lot of people are very focused on APs and there’s a culture of toxic academic betterness that is barely ever addressed as it should be. The lack of opportunities for students of color and lower income students are also not addressed as they should be. However, like I said, there are some exceptional teachers, and it is a good place to learn overall.Parent Review2y ago - Northeast Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe first parent teacher conference we had with my son's first grade teacher was the teacher just showing us apps for almost every subject that he and his classmates were using. Having kids who went through NE years ago, I can compare that the conferences we used to have with teachers were about curriculum, behavior, my child's progress, etc. It was so weird to be shown screen after screen of apps. I have definitely noticed that my son's attention span has worsened since starting at NE, and we don't do tech at home.Parent Review7mo ago - South Hill School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is amazing. The administration, teachers, and staff are beyond caring. The culture here is one of inclusion and belonging. The special education staff is incredible and they work seamlessly with the regular teachers. Issues are addressed with thoughtfulness and care.We have put off moving until the kidd are out of elementary school.Parent Review1y ago - Cayuga Heights Elementary

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went 60 years ago, so I'm responding to the other person from that era. It was a harder school when we went there, but it's still a good school. It was the best of the 3 schools for me--Dewitt was a pit when I went there. Ithaca High School was also a better school then.Other Review5y ago - Check out schools near 201 E Marshall St.

"It is a very easy commute to downtown. Slightly more to the colleges. I consider commutes under 15 minutes to be easy though. I know Ithacans complain about traffic at the “octopus”, but that’s only because most of them have never seen traffic."

"I've lived in the area for 13 years. I've lived in Northeast Ithaca specifically for 5 years. Northeast Ithaca is very competitive as far as buying a home. The people are great and Northeast Elementary including the Ithaca City School District is beyond amazing. Northeast Ithaca is close to Cornell University. There are many reasons why homes in in Northeast Ithaca are in high demand."
