2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have a relative going there and we're in the process of getting them transferred. It was never our intention to make them go there but we had no choice at the time. Now that I have witnessed certain things and are more informed, I would never send my future kids to this school or even recommend anyone send their child to this school. But then again, I understand how the zoning policies would limit where your child can attend but go the enrollment center on 1230 or 1232 (not sure which one) Zerega Ave in the Bronx and look into other schools your child can attend in the district and/or get an educational advocate. The educational advocates are free or low cost and very helpful.Parent Review5y ago - North Bronx School of Empowerment

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe fish rots from the head down. The administration is awful and therefore it trickles down to the students. There is no founding leadership and value from staff for the students to patternize. Horrible learning environment and one that needs to be evaluated for drastic change by the dept of education.Parent Review12y ago - Leaders of Tomorrow

"It has it’s pros and cons. It has definitely calmed down a lot from the past years. It is a safe neighborhood to walk in. Parking depends on the block. Certain areas are super quiet like Bronxwood, Paulding, Mace, Allerton towards the 5 train side. The area with houses are usually quieter than the areas with buildings."
