this school sucks kids are annoying and peolpe stay on there phones to much and dress code when teachers catch some body or any one doing something like talking and someone else says bad words they always see the person right there in frotn of them to get them expellded or suspended. and the teachers never slow down on assignment its 5 paragraph assignment then a 95 question math assignment then a project then a AR book quiz then a Science project then another project its JUST the same thing over and over and over thats why kids at this school have bad grades because teachers put out to many assignments.

I've been living in Las Vegas for just over two years. and being in the military and working in the civilian sector my family have moved around alot in the last 10 years or so. But I must say that out of all the states that my family has lived in, including Florida which is supposed to have the worse school system in the country, Las Vegas has been the worst I have ever encountered. My son has been dealing with bullies that moved here from L.A. all year, and the school has done absolutely nothing. They suspend the kids for a couple days and there back at it. I have been up to the school a total of 6 times this yr. and now I am totally fed up and just pulled my son out before this problem escalates and somebody gets seriously hurt or worse. It seems like the teachers are scared of the children, and nobody has a clue about what's going on. I called up to the school a couple days ago because my son called me to let me know a couple kids was trying to jump him, and they said they didn't have a record of my son attending there. (Really) He's been there two years.. I can't believe with me working my butt off and the amount of money I spent on a home to live in a neighborhood that is supposed to have one of the better public schools in the district, well I would hate to see the worse. I won't call it racial, but I will say the school policies need a change, and maybe some of the school faculty. It's sad to see a city that's so beautiful, and so much money runs through have such lousy schools.

We have been at Goynes for 5 years and we love it! Great teachers, staff, and parents. They have awesome events and involve the entire community. I am glad we are a part of this family.
