3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe 3 star rating is based on the wonderful teachers at the school. I would like to give a lower score but it is not there fault the hand they have been dealt. The new superintendant has created a toxic environment for the staff of ALL of Pennfield Schools. The lack or compassion from someone who used to be a teacher is appauling. She is good at pointing the finger and taking zero responisblity. How can the scores on state required tests be improved when she has "LAID OFF" numberous staff? Why does one of the highest paid superintendants in the county have assistances? Pennfield used to be a good school but somewhere along the way they lost their priorities. There are member of the board that like to use power as fear and themselves are bullies. Fingers crossed we restore the faith and trust to restore what once was an amazing school.Parent Review11mo ago - Pennfield Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePennfield middle school is a disaster. My child has gone to this school since 1st grade, the elementary schools weren’t that bad, but when it came down to middle school, the principal, Stephanie Bruce, is not the best at her Job. In elementary school, bullying is not a huge deal because younger kids are more afraid of being in trouble than older kids. But when my child got into middle school, they started facing bullying. When my child told someone about their experience, the school did not handle it well. They basically got the kid and told them not to do it again, as if they thought it would do anything. Another example of bullying, my child had a friend who had gotten into a fight with a bully who was bullying my child. The one who started the fight got suspended for about three days, and the bully didn’t get suspended at all. Nothing would have happened if they would have went to a teacher anyways so I applaud that kid who stood up for my child that day. This school damaged my child’s mental health for their two years in middle school, last year my child would text me from the bathrooms, pretending she was sick, so that they could get away from school and be in their safe place. The teachers sometimes put down Students for their work, and those who stand up for themselves get into trouble. They do not care about their students, they only care about their teachers at this school, and that really says a lot. There are a few teachers who bend the silly, unneeded rules, for example, my child was on their way to class from after lunch, and they were crying. My child’s next teacher just had them sit out in the hallway, and gave them a chance to cool down. Usually the teacher would send them down to the office to force a few words about “what happened” out of them, and eventually call the parents. If you want your child to grow into a healthy loving environment, don’t send your kids here.Parent Review8mo ago - Pennfield Purdy School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhat a great bunch of educators! The staff has gone above and beyond to ensure that they participate in community projects and ask for nothing in return. The school's leadership is incredible. All of the staff communicate consistently and effectively. Additionally, the protection of the students is held in the highest regard. Thanks again Purdy!Parent Review11y ago - Pennfield Senior High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love this school but everyone is put into friend groups and if you’re a new kid and you don’t talk you’re not going to get friends. They have suicide prevention benches all over the school and once handed out bracelets all the students messed around with. They have ALOT of clubs and sports to choose from and will make you love the school 10 times more. I love a lot of the teachers here and a lot of them talk to us like they’re our friend and they make jokes with us which is comforting. Extra Circulars are the fun and usually are a big part in the school. I could say a lot more about this school but I won’t.Student Review1y ago - Check out schools near 214 Sharon Ave.
