6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a decent school with decent teachers who are willing to help the students and do make themselves available if students need help in their subjects. While it is up to the students to pursue that help, when a teacher sees a student floundering (first poor test/quiz), they should step up to the plate and automatically call the student in for help. Some students do not want to ask for help (stigma attached to that). Instead, they wait until the students are failing and grasping at straws to get caught up. But that seems to be the way with all of the schools these days. Problems come up during conferences. Teachers are good communicators if you email them. Office is not and the website is rarely updated as are the teacher Wiki pages. Not all parents rely on Twitter and Facebook for communication. Plenty of extracurricular activities for students who want to participate. School is convenient to most everything. Bussing is reliable.Parent Review10y ago - Gardiner Regional Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI cannot adequately express how awful my wife and I found this school to be. We have pulled our daughter out of there. She was continually harassed by students AND staff. She was subjected to searches of her person and belongings ~10 times in 2 years and was never found to have any illicit items on her but yet the unfounded searches continued UNABATED. My wife and I corresponded with the administrative staff at that school numerous times to no avail and NO APOLOGY given. The staff working there should be ashamed of themselves. We know our daughter isn't perfect, but the treatment she was subjected to there certainly did NOT HELP. Don't send your kids here!!!Parent Review1y ago - Pittston Consolidated School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBefore this Principal came, it was just an average school. However, after she came, she has turned it into the one of top school. It has small classes, and teachers are very nice and supportive. They really love students and try to boost students' academics, too. Compared with other elementary schools in same areas, this school is the best option.Parent Review12y ago - Check out schools near Old Cedar Grove Rd.

"Can be bogged down with a bit of traffic, especially during construction, otherwise relatively easy to navigate."

"Gardiner is a very safe and quaint city, with an appealing downtown . The city is highlighted by a omnipotent presence of its sole high school- which offers an array of sports events throughout the year . The city has a nice park that rests on the banks of the Kennebec river - and feature musical bands in the summer. The park has a boar loading ramp, dock and fishermen can be seen regularly trying to hook a salmon or trout from a fresh water stream emptying into the river."

"Pros: 1. Small neighborhood, most people will know your dog. 2. Their are poop bags provided in the public parks. Cons: 1. Local leash ordnance. 2. No dog park. 3. Few dog friendly rentals. "

"Every town/city has its good and bad areas and people. This town is no different though there are great schools, restaurants and plenty of activities. We have done well here (we commute to work and this is an ideal location near highways) and our kids have done well in school here as well."

"Gardiner is a quiet city for those of us that want to escape the hustle & bustle of a large city but still stay within close proximity of Businesses. There is a great walking trail that runs along the river, festivals through out the year and a small hometown feel that everybody loves! I've lived in alot of big cities and really appreciate the quietness of my neighborhood and the friendliness of everybody that I meet!"
