What Locals Say about Gardiner

  • Stephanie C.
"Gardiner is a great town commute isn’t bad. Normal traffic and contruction for this time of year. "
  • Jennifer B.
"Commute is nice. Close to Augusta for shopping and close to interstate also. I have lived in gardiner all my life. I have no plans to move to another town ever. "
  • Sadie
"Can be bogged down with a bit of traffic, especially during construction, otherwise relatively easy to navigate."
  • David
"Gardiner is a very safe and quaint city, with an appealing downtown . The city is highlighted by a omnipotent presence of its sole high school- which offers an array of sports events throughout the year . The city has a nice park that rests on the banks of the Kennebec river - and feature musical bands in the summer. The park has a boar loading ramp, dock and fishermen can be seen regularly trying to hook a salmon or trout from a fresh water stream emptying into the river."
  • Brandon
"Pros: 1. Small neighborhood, most people will know your dog. 2. Their are poop bags provided in the public parks. Cons: 1. Local leash ordnance. 2. No dog park. 3. Few dog friendly rentals. "
  • workingmom
"Every town/city has its good and bad areas and people. This town is no different though there are great schools, restaurants and plenty of activities. We have done well here (we commute to work and this is an ideal location near highways) and our kids have done well in school here as well."
  • Spejn
"Gardiner is a quiet city for those of us that want to escape the hustle & bustle of a large city but still stay within close proximity of Businesses. There is a great walking trail that runs along the river, festivals through out the year and a small hometown feel that everybody loves! I've lived in alot of big cities and really appreciate the quietness of my neighborhood and the friendliness of everybody that I meet!"
