5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTaking the time to write a recent review as prior reviews are severely outdated. Principal Fuller is NOT involved in what goes on at Galway and lets her staff run the show (YIKES!). Fuller does the BARE minimum (IF that). She doesn’t seem bothered by complaints brought forth by parents (very concerning). Perhaps she used to be a good principal, several years ago, but that’s certainly not the case now.Parent Review2mo ago - Paint Branch High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has been the scene of many violent altercations on school property-bathrooms, classrooms, hallways, bus stop and more- that require security to intervene. Classrooms built for teaching are disrupted due to violence that requires teachers to act like bouncers instead of educators. The administration at all levels is aware of the level of violence but will not acknowledge it with formal reports to MCPS. Multiple videos are readily available for review that document the violence that endangers students. PBHS has great potential with its relatively new facilities ,however ,the special education services do not meet the needs of the students and the iEP meetings fail to offer action plans that result in increased academic performance, graduation rates or college readiness. Before sending your child to this school, ask to see the security logs regarding violent incidents on school property and compare them to other schools. These should be available from MCPS ,however ,this is not likely. . The safety and education of your child is at stake. Bullying is not taken seriously a when brought to the attention of the administration. Some students are targeted repeatedly with violent confrontations which makes learning an unrealistic option.Parent Review1mo ago - Springbrook High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBlake is a great school if you like art like dance and stuff. While i at blake i took tap class and it was wonderful to learn the school has many classes to choose form but one downfall is that they have bad kids and it can be distracting in class and they always have fights in school but overall it a good school for arts and stuff.Other Review10y ago - Briggs Chaney Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is horrible, I wouldn't recommend it at all. The students are extremely disrespectful, students are fighting left and right while everyone else just watches or records it, and don't even get me started on the bullying, racism, and sexism among the students. There are students who literally come to school high. Most of the teachers are decent, there are a few I can name that couldn't care less about their students and are only there for a pay check. The school is extremely dirty as well, rat and roach infested, very sad. Overall I wouldn't recommend this school and give it a 2/5 stars.Student Review6mo ago - Check out schools near 12001 Old Columbia Pike #G2.

"They do look out for each other. On several occasion neighbors do return packages to me because they were delivered to them instead. In the same token packages have been delivered to me in error and I am happy to deliver them to its rightful owner. I do think it’s correct to say we do look out for each other and are always looking out for each others children to make sure they are safe. "

"Although I don’t depend on public information the commute is quite average. Whenever there is road work during rush hours there’s always a delay sometimes more than other especially on route 32 with sometimes major road work. Of late it has gotten much better because most of the work seems to be done. I must give the workers a big thank you for the exceptional work they have done even though the weather was so hot most of the time. Thank you from all the commuters of route 32. It is such a pleasure driving there now that it’s not that narrow and winding as before. Thank you workers for all your hard work. May God bless you and your family. "
