5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageArbutus middle is trash, I’m pulling my kids out and we’re gonna literally have to move because everyday a child in this school is physically injured. Whether it’s mine or yours, these people who are so post to be protecting our children, have completely failed us. This school is below trash.Parent Review6mo ago - Catonsville High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is my child's first year here. There appears to be a lack of effort towards acknowledging and making strides to improve diversity and the stigma of bias engulfing the school environment. There are some select teachers that truly go above and beyond however overall instructors don't seem motivated to improve the development of all children equally. This shows in the classroom and throughout extra-curricular programs. I really was excited to give my child a unique opportunity like I had growing up but this institution doesn't seem to be able to provide it without bias. The school does have a lot of special school programs available and fellow students seem to be welcoming. This feedback was also shared by past students I met who attended here prior to my child attending.Parent Review1y ago - Hillcrest Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children have both had a wonderful experience at Hillcrest with teachers, school counselors and administrators who truly care and want your children to succeed. There have been a few issues in the past with administration, but that has been resolved. The new principal is amazing and truly believes in ensuring a great educational experience for every child. I would recommend this school to everyone.Parent Review2mo ago - Check out schools near 9 Franklin Tree Ct.

"We have great restaurants great schools and assortment of parks some communities have their own dog parks . I love it here but the crime is getting bad and I want to move my family someplace where I can have some space around my house without my neighbor being able to hear me sneezing and tissue out the window to me they’re building everywhere there is a space of land. It’s not a quiet little town it used to be but we still do have some old-fashioned values and we still celebrate the Fourth of July with a parade and fireworks.Be it ever so humble there’s no place like Catonsville."

"I have lived in Catonsville for two years now and not only do I like the area, but I love it’s proximity to major roads. 5 - 10 minutes from route 40, I-195, I-95, I-695. Schools could be better and the crime rate is higher than Ellicott City right down Frederick Rd"

"We look out for each other. We look for strangers walking through the neighborhood when young children are out playing and they are taking pictures of them. Those of us who have been here a while during the holidays if one of us gets a package one of us will take it in until the other person gets home so that the gifts are not stolen. We have cookouts together."
