If you're longing to live in old Catonsville, your search may be over now that this beautiful 4-bedroom home in the Hillcrest Elementary School district just hit the market. Welcome to the heart of Catonsville in the sought after community of Oak Forest. This classic 1929 home is the perfect mix of traditional and modern living with 4 levels of space. The main level is an open floor plan with an amazing flow from the foyer to the large living room (with a gas fireplace installed in 2023), to the spacious dining room with new lighting, to the family room where the comfy sectional sofa conveys. This is an amazing entertaining space, or room to simply spread out. In these rooms are charming features like columned knee walls, hardwood floors, high ceilings, crown & chair rail molding, original wooden banister, and more. Off the kitchen is a screened-in porch overlooking the spacious level backyard, which is fenced in. A convenient nicely appointed half bath (with original bead board ceiling) completes the main level space. And you can't miss the charming front porch, just waiting for you to do some lounging with a cup of coffee or glass of wine. Most of the home has been freshly painted and there are hardwood floors throughout the home. The upper level contains 4 bedrooms that are all a nice size and the bathroom has been updated. The smallest of the 4 bedrooms has full walk-up stairs to the 4th level attic room with tons of possibilities for an office, art studio, craft room, exercise room, or extra bedroom, etc. The basement also has many possibilities, and features an upgraded electrical box, workbench, and a large separate utility room great for lawn equipment, bikes, etc., which has a convenient entrance directly into the backyard. There is also an outside side entrance to the basemen at the driveway. The basement is complete with a sump pump (less than 5 years old) and a French drain. Other recent big ticket updates include furnace in 2018, windows on the first floor (3-5 yrs), roof in 2016, first floor split system in 2015, central air for upstairs in 2015, & driveway repaving in 2022 (driveway fits 5 cars). A nice walk, quick bike or car ride will take you about a mile away to the Village of Catonsville with its many popular restaurants, shops, and services like the post office, library, etc. This is also where the legendary 4th of July parade takes place, along with a weekly incredible farmer's market. There is even an entrance for Patapsco State Park at the end of Hilton Ave. Come enjoy everything this home and Catonsville has to offer you! Life is Great in 21228! Seller needs rent back for up to 60 days, although it may be much shorter. OPEN HOUSE: SAT, JAN 6. 1 - 2:30 PM.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePrincipal and administration did nothing when me or my friends faced homophobic attacks and said it was our fault. Even if you are not lgbtq you still should not sent your kid to a school where they allow this behaviorOther Review1y ago - Catonsville High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is my child's first year here. There appears to be a lack of effort towards acknowledging and making strides to improve diversity and the stigma of bias engulfing the school environment. There are some select teachers that truly go above and beyond however overall instructors don't seem motivated to improve the development of all children equally. This shows in the classroom and throughout extra-curricular programs. I really was excited to give my child a unique opportunity like I had growing up but this institution doesn't seem to be able to provide it without bias. The school does have a lot of special school programs available and fellow students seem to be welcoming. This feedback was also shared by past students I met who attended here prior to my child attending.Parent Review1y ago - Hillcrest Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children have both had a wonderful experience at Hillcrest with teachers, school counselors and administrators who truly care and want your children to succeed. There have been a few issues in the past with administration, but that has been resolved. The new principal is amazing and truly believes in ensuring a great educational experience for every child. I would recommend this school to everyone.Parent Review2mo ago - Check out schools near 503 Hilton Ave.

"it's low income housing which I'm moving soon , but it's not unique at all it's the struggle low poverty area they try to maintain it but if u ask me I think everyone here should be directed elsewhere where and be forced to work and be self sufficient the people here are carefree have no real means to do better outside of myself. I do not recommend this area to no one and the violence has escalated "
