2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have volunteered at Whittemore for 6 years so far. It's a wonderful school. I pass by or go into classrooms regularly and always see kids who are deeply engaged in their work. The classrooms are welcoming, well behaved, and busy learning. The hallways are quiet and orderly. As a former teacher I know the quality of staff required to make this atmosphere a reality. The teachers and staff here are amazing. It's a great neighborhood school. No one should be reluctant to send their children here.Other Review1y ago - John W. Mcdevitt Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school and staff have been very responsive to our adolescent and us as parents. The administration cares and the community is welcoming. There are always issues with being teens and in covid days it was challenging; but the school prepared well and the district ran WSchool Online with teachers from McDevitt who did an awesome job adapting and keeping instruction academic life going.Parent Review1y ago - Waltham Sr High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWaltham is a school that is unfairly compared to nearby high schools in affluent communities, when the population in the city is vastly different, with 10+ times as many ELL students. The teachers in Waltham are (for the most part) honestly superior to most teachers I have come across in some of the "better on paper" districts. There are high achieving students getting into Ivys, and students who are new to this country for whom graduating is a huge victory. Great school, great students, great teachers.Parent Review2y ago - Check out schools near 132 Myrtle St #2.
