9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur family has lived in Washington for 15+ years, with 2 now graduated from WCHS. They have both received an excellent education with honors and AP credit classes that have helped them earn great college scholarships. The staff at the school is engaged with the community and communicates well. The school offers many athletic, band, and club opportunities and has good parent support of those programs. Nearby community center (Five Points) has library, pool, health club, and theater to support school activities.Parent Review11mo ago - Lincoln Grade School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers and all the school faculty are wonderful. My son has some learning disabilities and they work with him daily with a variety of services. Truly amazing the difference this past year has made in him. I just want to thank everyone who works hard to improve our children's lives on a daily basis. Don't let the lower school rating fool you this school is a gem and the teachers are all wonderful. The school may be older than others and need some polish but what really matters is the quality of teachers and they have a wonderful bunch.Parent Review11y ago - Washington Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAll 4 of my kids have attended Washington Middle School, one with special needs, and I've been pleased beyond measure. A staff that cares and wants to be there, very strong arts and sports programs, and a commitment to education of ALL students makes this school a real gem in this community. WMS students enter the high school ready to meet or exceed requirements. The new building (6 years old) has provided more opportunity for faculty and students to excel with technology and safety. When we chose this district, we feel we chose well.Parent Review12y ago - Check out schools near 123 N Main St #A-B.

"I travel a lot my commute is not relevant. However, travel to Peoria from Washington has very little traffic compared to major cities. Travel to major cities can be a problem because the local airports (Peoria and Bloomington) are not hubs and have few options"
