9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved to this suburb because of this school - we were duped.Our son went through numerous periods of bullying at Burley Elementary, both physical and psychological. The most serious of these situations were as a result of two girls encouraging him to commit suicide. This was documented in a letter (written by one of the girls) which we presented to the principal. What's more, these girls went on to alienate our son from his friends by spreading racist lies to them (although he is of mixed race himself). Despite our protests, the school protected the girls and we had to move our son to a nearby Catholic school. This has potentially scarred our son for for life, and this why I'm posting this review. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePrincipal Karafiol is fantastic. He impressed us on day one and continues to run an amazing neighborhood school. We had heard such negative things about LV but that turned out to be outdated lore. Lake View HS is an hidden gem! Our college freshman graduated in 2023 and our sophomore will graduate in 2026. "I’ve lived here for 2 years total (1 year in 2019, and this year 2024). Areas fun but pretty expensive. Surprisingly a lot of great asian food but lacking a solid pizza spot. Over fine to live here, but wouldn’t be living hear if I wasn’t lucky enough to have scored a cheap apartment "

"This neighborhood used to be very safe and quiet. Now recently I have heard gunshots out my window and there was a drive-by shooting right at the end of my street in the afternoon! After 13 years I am leaving."
