As a new high school graduate, I was reminiscing about my elementary school days. I attended Wayne my entire primary school career and have both good and bad things to say. While I can't be sure what has changed since my time there, I can say that the school did have a lot of issues. The teachers rarely tried to help me as a struggling student, very clearly had favorites, and often treated students poorly. I had teachers who neglected subjects and helping me so bad that to this day I struggle with math even if it is basic. I am now an amazing student with straight A's in all AP and Honors classes no thanks to this school. The bullying issues here are unbearable, the students are truly not taught to respect each other and there is most definitely constant drama and issues with bullying and friendship among students throughout all of the grades. If you are a parent looking into this school, do your research, talk to others especially students. Check-in on your kids if they are going here because if there is a problem the school won't do anything about it or contact the parents.

First day of school they loss my son in clinton Elementary. They found him in the trails walking. We tried talking to the The superintendent and principal and swept it under the rugged. I also see kids that dont belong in the district. I also have my other daughters take math tutor since they have the worst math program. Whats the point of paying for my property tax so high when i have to take care of other kids that don't belong in the district. U46 needs to be split.

The school has been excellent in our time with a child attending. The teachers are supportive and creative in their teaching, and they encourage each student to bring their own unique talents to the classroom environment and homework. As a parent, I appreciate the way the school holds students to standards of conduct and academics, without being so strict that it would inhibit kids from being kids. The other parents seem engaged and enthusiastic about the school as well. Lastly, the opportunities to cross over in the arts and other areas with the high school next door is a real value-add that enhances the transition from 8th to 9th grades while also giving HS students leadership and mentorship exposure.
