Although it has gotten much busier over the years, Hawaii Kai is our favorite - you may find practically everything you need in a 3 mile radius - farmer's markets, shopping, restaurants, decent schools, beautiful dry weather with great tradewinds, gorgeous beaches, hiking, recreational & skate parks, and also have familiar faces and friends nearby. It is an easy & livable community and worth the relatively short commute to town."
