4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have found some great teachers (especially the honors and AP ones) at this school but the administration part is pretty terrible. I've had some negative experiences with the office staff and parents and students aren't made to feel welcome. Additionally my kid has been bullied and nothing was done about the issue (my teenager was caught on camera half dressed while changing for PE class for one example). I hope the school can turn things around but I'm not too hopeful. My child will graduate soon and has good friends there is the only reason we haven't moved schools.Parent Review5y ago - Stockbridge Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI absolutely love this school. Mrs. Williams the 4th grade teacher is so wonderful with my son. I love that she calls her students scholars and pushes them to strive above and beyond. She's always in contact with the parents and treats the kids as her babies. She offers her love and support at all times. The staff is friendly and understanding to my son needs for medical purposes. The nurse Ms. Stone I adore because my son has been in her office for many health issues and each time she's very attentive. I appreciate the text updates from the principal and how he is a,ways informing parents on what needs to be done as well as what is happening. Overall great school in my opinion.Parent Review9y ago - Stockbridge Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePublic schools are given bad reputations because of schools like this one. Stockbridge Middle School lacks the basics needed to provide a safe and secure environment for children to learn. I said children because that is what they are, they are not young adults, they are not leaders, they are children. The administration is a joke. They have no real resources available to them to implement better measures for education and safety, and they do not use their voices to fight for these causes. They know exactly what they need and don't know how to obtain it. REMOVE THE CELLULAR DEVICES FROM THE SCHOOLS, ACTUAL CONSEQUENCES FOR DISRUPTION, AND ZERO TOLERANCE FOR BULLYING. If you decide to visit the school, you will not be greeted warmly or welcoming at all. You are a burden to them. Students do not go to school to learn anymore; this is a social gathering and free daycare. If you pick any classroom to audit, you will find 1. overcrowded classrooms with poor ratios of students to teachers, 2. 60% of the students are being disruptive in some matter, 3. of the 40% that remain half of those have given up on even paying attention, due to the disruption of the other kids, 4. the remaining 20% of students are either really smart and don't require much guidance, and or teachers' favorites. The majority of fights occur in the bathrooms and or cafeteria. They know this, so why not monitor these areas during higher exposure times like lunchtime? Fights that occur in classrooms are 100% preventable if the teacher is paying attention to the students instead of just spitting information to the oblivious. These are teachers that just show up to work- because they know the administration that supports them has no backbone to implement actual consequences.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 203 Oak Cir N.

"I love city amenities like great grocery shopping, great malls, restaurants, gym,etc so my commute to these places (including the airport) are 30 minutes minimum. However, I grew up in this neighborhood so I’m quite used to it. Also, our major neighboring city is Atlanta so it take almost 30 to get anywhere decent. Other neighborhoods like McDonough, Eagles Landing and Conyers are at least 20 mins on a commute as well. I consider this neighborhood private and enjoy the stillness away from the city as well. "

"I lived here all my life no place like home I love it you can replace it with anything. It’s peaceful quiet & charming you wouldn’t & couldn’t pick any other place & feel as comfortable as Stockbridge ga makes me feel I love it with everything in my heart & wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world honestly. A lot of people may have their differences in opinion but stating the fact that I tried to move out & move on & seem myself coming right back was the moment I knew that Henry county was a place called home. The neighbors are all nice & helping in time of need you will never feel left out in any giving circumstance. It’s also so convenient to everything eating & shopping wise with a number of options to choose from"
