The Principal Heidi Koplin is condescending when speaking to parents, and intimidates children. They can not keep consistent staff to save their lives. He is in 6th grade and he got bullied at this school. 3 kids with a ski mask pulled him in the bathroom, punched his head and his face. My son is traumatized from this school. Principal did his best, but no one identifies who hurt my kid. And now he is suffering from trauma and anxiety. Teachers are helpful but one of them did not even consider what my son is going through and gave him an F. She gave A on his progress report then gave him an F at the end of the quarter. And by the way, she only responded once after a week. Most of the teachers are very helpful, especially Mr G, Swenson and Falco. They dont know what my son is going through.I chose this school as school choice, coz i thought that this school is great and safe. But this is not a safety school to go. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a graduate of Bloomingdale, who attended all four years of high school here I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a great education for their children without the private school cost. I would say 90% of the teachers here were above average in their teaching skills. When one attends Bloomingdale high school and puts in the required effort they will be prepared for what comes post graduation. I will always consider this school a much better place to attend than nearby Newsome and without a doubt far above Durant. Durant speaks for itself in terms of poor education and Newsome may be higher rated than Bloomingdale but your child will be going to a school to be surronded by arrogant peers from lower middle and middle class families who think they are all upper class yet none have even heard of Boca Raton let alone visted it and attended school there. "Very friendly neighborhood, folks look out for each other. The HOA is reasonable and I’ve lived here since 2001, with no plans to move. Most people keep up their yards but the only downside is that our HOA is unable to force people to upkeep their yards. Only a few are bad. No junk cars, or work vehicles parked . I like it here. "

"I lived in a gated retirement community, which is not reflective of Valrico in general. I know if you explore past I-60, you’ll encounter beautiful treed neighborhoods. I come back to Valrico ,from Tampa, for all services a:top notch and significantly less expensive - Such as Dentist, hair salons, etc. Due to the exploding population/traffic, unless you live near the expressway, it is not a quick commute to Tampa."
