When a parent finds out about the things that have been said to your child and it makes your heart break and you want to cry, you want to immediately march down to the school to have a heart-to-heart talk with the principal and counselor.Whomever says that there is no bullying going on in this school is delusional or is being paid to say untrue things. "True community of good people!! First holiday here was Halloween, neighborhood went all out and it looked like a festival. People sitting on the front porches and walking from house to house. Kids walking around, bounce houses, snow cones, and music. Great community with scores of kids! Safe inviting and sure to be a great place for years to come. I am so glad we moved here and decided to call Newberry home. The town feels like a great place to raise a family. The schools are top notch and commute to Gainesville and surrounding areas is easy and scenic. Small town appeal, but lots of people and things to do. 15 minutes from Gainesville shopping, 7 minutes to Tioga, 10 downtown Haile. Whether you have a high schooler, middle schooler, or elementary schooler you will enjoy the atmosphere. Want private schools, several close to the area. Corn mazes and churches a plenty nearby. No HOA in Newberry Oaks and soon will have the fairgrounds and UF agricultural center. Have horses? Bring them too! A little something for everyone to enjoy! Ride your bike, play sports, and fish. "

"I live in this area and it is the best. Great for outdoor living and the trails are fantastic for jogging, walking or horseback riding. The wide manicured roadways are fun for biking, golf carting, pet walking and general neighbor hood walking, night or day ( beautiful moon walks)."

"This is a great place to retire or raise a family. It has a wonderful community. It is a very safe friendly area. It is close to everything, but far enough away that hou do not feel overwhelmed! I would highly recommend living here! I would suggest Cottages of Country Way. Great schools, churches, and neighborhood! "

"Newberry is ten minutes from Gainesville on a a four lane highway into the area. It is rapidly developing and the Newberry Oaks subdivision is expanding after the housing bust. You are so close to so many things, yet you enjoy the rural community and the closeness and knowing your neighbors brings. As the are grows so many things are more convenient. You are 7 minutes from a Publix and 2 from a local grocery store called Hitchkock's which has wonderful local produce. We love living here."
