INCREDIBLE PRICE REDUCTION Majestically set on 5.5 acres atop Mill Hill overlooking Long Island Sound, is "Restmore." This landmark dwelling is a custom-designed Cape Dutch style estate by renowned architect, Ehrick Kensett Rossiter. This estate was commissioned in 1910 by Dr. Ira DeVer Warner, Sr., founder of Warner Brothers Women's Apparel Co. of Bridgeport. It is patterned after "Groote Schuur", the Cape Town, South Africa summer estate of Cecil J. Rhodes, Britain's famed "Empire Builder." Rossiter blended into the Cape Dutch style his classic interior molding and fenestration trim detail to produce the quiet elegance of "Restmore". Completed in 1912, "Restmore" boasts over 5366+ SF, with 11 rooms, 5 bedrooms and 4.5 baths and 5 working fireplaces, both open and enclosed, heated porches all of which once enjoyed the company of John D. Rockefeller, Sr. a close friend of Dr. Warner. The property also includes a Lord & Burnham greenhouse, a classic Hodgson Playhouse, a barn with full loft, two-bay garage and maintenance workshop area. This magnificent residence has undergone an extensive restoration process, painstakingly preserved to its original grandeur.Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, "Restmore" is being offered at $1,700,000 BELOW the appraised price. 8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is horrible. The students feel strongly negatively towards the curriculum and the teachers and overall experience. It seems the school is incredibly sexist against boys, and it seems it is very unfair, and does ridiculous things. In fact, just last week, a teacher called a student “mentally disabled” it occurs to me that this school is not up to standard, and a place children dread going to.Parent Review1mo ago - Roger Ludlowe Middle School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThey never taught me on how to find a college for students who have autism or a disability. 3. They never taught me on how every college has different academics, Services, sports, clubs, and activities. The auditorium is way too small. You can’t fit everyone in there. Parking was just hell. There wasn’t enough spots for all students and as well they just let people who live close enough to walk drive to school and then people who don’t live close enough to walk won’t get a spot. There’s no baseball field on campus. More facilities on campus will decrease global warming as they don’t have to hire bus transportation and staying on campus burns less fossil fuels. Football season and all other fall sports start too early in the summer time and because of that sometimes people aren’t able to play since they’ll be away. No breakfast is sold at period 2 at all. Sometimes people don’t eat breakfast at all since high school starts at 7:30 pm. Don’t have enough food selections at lunchtime. Senior lounge has doesn’t have enough seats for people to sit next to friends and because of that a lot of the times I sat isolated on the benches in the senior lounge. It doesn’t feel like a new school year, it’s hard to separate others if they’re being too nonsense, not getting along with one another, causing too much trouble, and sometimes one homeroom can become more crowded than another if one student transfers to a different school or if one student transfers to FLHS because you’re locked in the same homeroom all four years of high school.Other Review3y ago - Check out schools near 375 Warner Hill Rd.

"Our family block parties and outdoor activities coupled with the Beach just a minute away makes this the perfect Fairfield County neighborhood. We walk minutes to the train station and our boat is just 10 minutes away . Wakeman Boys and Girls Club just 5 minutes away and we love the proximity to everything. A very established and beautiful location to raise a family. We just Love the area. The builder has just built an amazing home that is simply fabulous and built to the 9's. Cheers!"

"Southport village is a rare treasure, so close to New York City: a stable, very upscale but unpretentious seaside community. Some Southporters trace their roots back to pre-Revolution days. Others have been more recently welcomed here. Once they learn how wonderful Southport really is, no one wants to leave. The community stays close, because there are so many activities available within the village. For many, it means a walkable lifestyle. There are two beaches, for starters. There's a harbor filled with yachts and smaller boats. There's a golf club with swimming and tennis, and commanding views over Long Island Sound. There's a historic library/community center, informal bars and a couple of special-occasion restaurants, a pharmacy where customers are known by name, an art gallery, and so on. There's a club for kids' team sports. Education options include the highly-rated Fairfield public schools; Greens' Farm Academy, Fairfield Country Day School and Fairfield Prep among private options. Also in Southport Village is Eagle Hill School, for children with learning disabilities. The focus of this school, which draws students from the entire area, is to support children so they can rejoin mainstream academics after their Eagle Hill experience. The heart of Southport Village, with its exquisite historic architecture, is protected by a historic association, so its charm will remain unchanged. Its way of life, with enduring friendships enriched by outdoor fun, is even more special. "
