5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love this school, its teachers and its principal! Special attention is given to the arts, and students are encouraged to be individuals and find themselves. What a wonderful experience!!Parent Review10y ago - East Hampton High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe admin is terrible to the kids, the kids are very unhappy at this school. They do not provide a happy environment, and yell at the kids all the time. The Athletic director is the worst, and physically pushed a girl on the basketball team. He is very mean to the students, and his wife is his boss as the vice principal. There are not enough college courses for the kids to be competitive and the kids leave as Soon as school is over. They lock the entire building all the time. They don’t have real dances and the kids hate the social life. The testing scores are very low. This school is very toxic.Student Review3mo ago - East Hampton Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would love to give this school a 5-star rating if they actually deserved it but sadly they don't. This school says they are all for inclusivity and against discrimination but when a child reports that there are kids around this school being racist and homophobic they do nothing about it. It's very sad and frustrating and I hope they get better at stopping homophobia and racism in their school once I go to high school.Parent Review2y ago - Memorial School

"Great place to raise a family. Even a nice place to retire. The local bars and restaurants are clean and friendly to all. The lake is a nice summer spot. School district could use more effort. Lived here for 5 years, my wife grew up here. "

"My neighborhood is amazing I knwo everyone and they are so nice I feel safe walking my dog and going outside it is a very homey community and I 100/10 recommended "

"Where I live there are no children playing outside, there is constant traffic as it is a main road on the lake and very noisy"

"I’ve lived and worked here for the last 16 years and it is a great neighborhood to raise a family. Neighbors look out for one another. It is a very friendly and engaging town and there are a lot of community events to get everyone together. It is safe and there are plenty of things to do with the family. However, it is a small town and not near any major cities so public transportation is negligible. There are also not many major chain stores so if that is your thing it may not be for you. There is a large lake in town and it is a tourist attraction in the warmer months."

"It is 6 minutes to downtown East Hampton via car and via bus or car to downtown Hartford is a 30 minute drive."

"I know of community events but no neighborhood events. Closing the lake to swimmers definitely put a damper on getting out into the neighborhood. "

"Some dogs are allowed to roam. Most are rarely if ever seen, no pit bulls in area. they’re not really very many to be seen. Most are inside "

"You need a car, but Rt. 66 is 3 min. away, Rt. 2 is only min. away. Rt. 9 is about 15 min. away, as is downtown Middletown with some great restaurants. Downtown Hartford is about 25 min. away."
