3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kids have been coming here for a while, and the admin and teachers are extremely kind and helpful. I have not had any issues with anyone. I try to volunteer when I can because they do need more help. The biggest issues people may find here is that it’s in an ever changing area. Meaning kids come and go constantly. It’s not the schools fault. But this area is declining rapidly. Though there are some quality people in this area still, it’s turning into more ghetto too. But that could be anywhere. The school is clean, and do a good job with making it feel new. Every time I go it just feels happy. My kids like it too. The doors are locked for security. They use Grit for their motto and what they teach. I love that. It stands for Growth, resilience, integrity, & togetherness. I’m sure there could be bullies but I have not seen or experienced it. I think the teachers do a good job on trying to teach integrity so that helps. They have several counselors on board and a therapy dog too. But I wished there were more help with grief or support groups too. Some kids like mine had some struggles but we never felt like the counselor helped. They do have a lot of fun events scheduled for the parents and kids through out there year. So we try to attend and support the school the best we can. Meeting families can be harder. Like I said people move from this area constantly, and our kids have had a lot of friends never come back. Eventually we will be moving too. It’s not the schools fault. It’s just the area is not as quality anymore.Parent Review10mo ago - Otho E Stuart Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a previous student, I highly recommend you consider other options. Bullying runs rampant in the school, fights are on the regular, and admin doesn’t do anything to stop bullying despite their so-called “zero tolerance policy”.What their zero tolerance policy actually means is the victim is not allowed to defend themselves and will face punishments if they do.I had another student threatening my life daily, cornering me in the bathroom, and screaming in my face. I was in immediate danger consistently for an entire semester (to the point I developed a stress responsive autoimmune disorder which I still have today) and nothing was done until several friends approached the office and caught her on tape threatening to bash my head into a table. Even so, the only repercussion was a 1 DAY SUSPENSION.If you care at all about your child’s safety and academic success, Pick. Another. What Locals Say about Commerce City

"As a native I love the Colorado weather one side of the street snowing and the other sunny. You can count on every night theirs a sunset, spectacular! I like taking it in, right by the great Mile High flea market, looking west off of the overpass of 76 th, the romance of the sun setting here never gets old. neighborhood at its core feels like family, because it is. At the same time their are quiet and clear understanding of,”ask first and just be frank”, then go lay down, at each mans home as his or her castle. Treat things as such, and much can be given and forgiven. When it comes to having a places to go, things to do, close to the commons of Commerce city, is Northfield, with its movies eats and out door shopping, a coffeehouse where you take a painting class, Dave’s barbecue and I hop pancakes, some of my fav’s, but this whole area and the Quebec striped is always a way to go! From 58th and in every direction Commerce to Denver, Capital Hill to the Rockies pitching, and West, nothing but Rockies , Mountain! Coming from, a natural cowboy, Colorado creative, moon gazer, Peace!"
