4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a TERRIBLE school. It deserves zero stars. They DO NOT treat all students equally. They're bias about the students. They already have it made up in their minds that some students are simply misguided. So they overlook poor behavior and enable them. While other students are viewed as undisputably troubled. So no mercy is shown to them and they rule with an iron fist. And the history teacher conveniently skipped over black history month every year. Hmmm, wonder why. My child has personally experienced prejudice and bullying by some students and some staff. And nothing was done after they were made aware of this. I DO NOT recommend you send your child here. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNo school is perfect. Much of it has to do with what the parents and students want out of the learning experience. Both of my sons attended Doherty High and I am grateful for their excellent teachers and staff. One of my sons attended an Ivey League school for undergrad and is now in his third year of medical school. My other son graduates Law School from Tulane University in two months. Most of their peers are enjoying similar success. Not too shabby I must say. It is a great school if you want it to be. Thank you Doherty teachers. "I’ve lived here for less than a year. It seems to be pretty peaceful and quiet on most days. No recent near by crimes. I’ve literally seen neighbors with their door open late at night. I don’t ever recommend that but they’ve been here longer than me. It shows their level of comfort. There is a third party security guard whom periodically patrols the area throughout the day and evening time. If you’re looking for something temporary it’s a pretty decent neighborhood but the homes are pretty outdated. "

"I love where I live! I am close to everything, except for the far south and west sides. I am conveniently located near plenty of shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. The Sky Sox stadium is only 10 minutes, as well as mini putting, golf courses, and movie theaters. One of my favorite things is the open space and trails within my neighborhood where I can safely walk my two dogs. "
