4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son is in the 8th grade at WHA. This is his second year there and he really enjoys it. He likes the block schedule as it gives him more time to focus on one class. His teachers typically give time in class to complete homework which I love because I feel that after school time/extra curricular activities are vitally important to a child’s development. The fact that he doesn’t have to stress over homework at the end of the day has been amazing. I like that they wear uniforms. Not everyone can afford the nicest clothes and this helps everyone feel like they fit in. His teachers have been amazing, offering extra support when he needs it. Principal Salazar is such a kind woman. You can tell that she really cares about the students. Mrs Harris and Randall help keep the school safe and help the students with their emotions. The school has a wonderful special education program as well. I have been very happy with WHA.Parent Review2mo ago - Paul Revere Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a 8th grader at Paul Revere. The school itself has a big campus, with a farm, and a large PE field. My issue are the teachers. There are a few hidden gems, my elective teacher, and my old math teacher. But, some, nay, most teachers here seem unprofessional. Some barely teach, and some get mad for reasons beyond my understanding. Most students here are awful. There is a bullying problem and kids are not engaged. Most are just on their phones. Vaping is another issue. A lot of the bathrooms smell like smoke and students vape and smoke drugs an awful amount. The teachers never notice any of the things I have stated above. I’m not telling you to not send your kid here, because I have made some memories I will never forget, and safety isn’t a big issue, like the school is in a wealthy neighborhood and I don’t believe there will be any shootings anytime soon. But, just don’t choose this school as your first option.Other Review10mo ago - Taft Charter High

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school seems more concerned with promoting the kids who are doing well than with stopping the rampant bullying present. Children with learning differences are approached in a textbook / checklist manner and are not regarded as individuals.Parent Review2y ago - Topanga Elementary Charter

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is awful, they let me get bullied to the point where I had to leave the school, my friend gets harassed, and they just tell them to not talk. They haven’t removed a student who harassed other kids from the school , they also haven’t removed a kid who took a photo of his private part and showed students of all genders. This school experience was horrible for me and I hope they take action, and remove threats from this school experience. - a student that went here tk to 4th and apart of 5th.Other Review2mo ago - Check out schools near 21925 Altaridge Dr.

"Manzanita school, the community, and the magical nature in every direction create the perfect setting for raising children"

"Topanga is a very dog friendly town with a lot of on-leash beautiful hiking trails. Dogs might benefit from rattlesnake training and can get burrs or foxtails stuck in their long fur. They are great deterrents for coyote and deer. "

"A long drive to Silverlake. Traffic is the worst from 8:30 - 9:30 am. Topanga is the best place to live on the west coast. A nature feeling, nice people and great surfing. We can use another restaurant and a place for the community to gather."

"Topanga is beautiful. The people are friendly and the public elementary school is wonderful. There is a great sense of community and almost everyone knows each other. There is hiking, outdoor theatre; a community center; one salon; shops; a gourmet store and a few restaurants and cafes. There are art classes; horseback riding and a lot more. The one downside is driving up and down the canyon about 10-15 minutes in each direction either pch side or valley side."

"I’m not a dog owner. But if I was, I’d be thrilled to be able to take my pooch out for amazing daily exercise on the hiking paths throughout the Santa Monica mountains - and largely off-leash too. Eat yer heart out Runyon Canyon or the westside Beaches!"
